That ep made me proud I go no where (legally) with out my pistol. All it takes to give up all control of your person is another person with a gun in your side.

"proud" ?? you need some serious psychiatric help.

"give up all control" = more rubbish perpetuated by the visual media. ( a gun is only a threat if they are willing to use it )

The latest episode was pretty cool. I totally saw the claire having a lesbian experience coming from a distance. They did AMT on the ep, kinda weird seeing these RCs/little known drugs appear on tv in non-news type programs. Maybe these drugs aren't as rare as I thought.

Did no one realize that the AMT scene was acknowledgement of last weeks busts? This episode was also very political. Seems like every other line was a political statement. I think it was my favorite episode, yet.

Also, last week they acknowledged that Doom 3 had gone gold by having Nate say, "I was just gonna play some Doom."

I swear this is the greatest show ever. Two weeks in a row, the writers have acknowledged the biggest news story of the week in my life with lines of dialogue....

The last two weeks have be very good. But I'm not sure i want to see Brenda and Nate get back togther. I like Nate and i like Brenda, but she has a cool boyfreind now and shes already inflicted enough damage on nate life. What ever, is all fantasy world

I think this show is, and has been, the greatest one on TV in years. Last week's episode is my number one favorite of the whole series. The drug references are always cool, but the sheer amount of character development in that one hour just blows my mind.

While I would like to believe what you said about it being an acknowledgement of the bust, I don't think it could be. This show isn't like SNL, being written two days before it airs. These episodes were written months ago, last year even.

Actually, that's not how television works. Television episodes of all kinds are usually done on the fly. Being a writer for a television show is an incredibly stressful job for this reason. It was definitely not a coincidence. You can rest assured that it was, indeed, an acknowledgement.

Also, with the Doom reference... Characters on the show have previously been seen playing Quake on the office computer. Had they not been wanting to reference the recently "gold" status of Doom 3, they almost certainly would have chosen to say Quake instead.

I have to agree with you on this one. She needs to just let go and move on with the new guy. They seem much more compatible with each other.

Hahaha... Brenda's relationship with the new guy was so dysfunctional it hurt. I really started to like Brenda again while she was with him, but I couldn't help but feel sorry for her being with such a putz in such a plastic relationship.. Funny how the writers intended the relationship to be so plastic, but most people think it was the best thing since sliced bread because they've been so brainwashed by our culture's idea of a "healthy" relationship...

Brenda and Nate are perfect for each other. They will grow and blossom into a mature and self-aware couple. Brenda and the other dude will end up cheating on each other and hating the world.

ok then, how about this -

Have you noticed Brenda looking a little pudgy this season? Especially in last week's show, with her really *really* big boobs? That's because she was pregnant during the filming of this episode. She had her son (she named him Banjo of all things!) in November 2003.

I so agree!! :D

And it works out perfectly bc Brenda wants a baby and Nate conveniently has one handy.

I love the introduction of Edie too, how she has made Claire an artist again. I just wish they would get on with it already, dragging out their big romantic moment is becoming a little boring.

that's interesting, thanks! I hope Edie can show Claire what an orgasm is like.. I remember them talking about this in studio..

I dunno whether or not Nate and Brenda will get together again..hm. Maybe Lisa's still alive? nah..but Nate WAS in denial for a while..I would be too..one of the first 5 stages, huh?

^^^
Keep in mind that this is the final season, and that there are only a handful of episodes left. I think most of what's going on with the show is starting the process of wrapping things up. I think there might be a few more major events before things end, but I wouldn't expect them to end the show with any of the character's futures up in the air... Then again...you never know.

I never knew that this was the last season. It's only the third isn't it? That seems kind of early to end the show.

jeldrid: where did you hear that this is the final season?
btw, this is the 4th season I believe

I have On Demand and could watch the entire season in one sitting essentially.

Would it be worth my while to get into this show?

TIA

j22,
Yeah, it's pretty damn interesting. It's philosophical at times too. Death, life, dying, afterlife, god, drugs, dysfunctional people (all people are dysfunctional) etc. I wish I had on demand to watch eps I missed, or really cool ones.
