Bupe Single IV injection of Buprenorphine HCl (not Subutex), how soon for other opiates?

I know this subject has been addressed to some degree on these forums, I have read all of the posts and most of the Bupe megathreads, but my question is a bit different.

I am not on daily Subutex/Suboxone.

My question is, how long would one need to wait following one single IV injection of Buprenorphine (~0.75mg) to indulge in other opiates (i.e. Methadone) without having a completely diminished experience?

I know the half life time and all of that. Hopefully someone out there has some experience with polypharmacy. ;)
 
In my experience, 24 hours was usually enough time when I was using subs to take occasional breaks from heroin. You could probably dose now if you really wanted to, but personally i would wait until you started to feel the onset of withdrawals. It is a tough question since there are so many variables involved. I guess 36 hours would be ideal if you wanted to wait that long, although you took a rather small dose of bupe and you aren't using it for maintenance so it probably isn't necessary..

Thanks for the input. Just like your last sentence said: not on maintenance therapy, and it was one single, small injection. Perhaps I will just go for it for the sake of science and other BL folks searching for similar information. :)
 
Withdrawal symptoms had already been underway, although not severe and might have something to do with the regular morphine and hydromorphone use. Heh. Went ahead and dosed. Will report tomorrow with results.

In my experience (and high tolerance to ops) I have done a 2mg shot of bupe around 11am-12noon then shot some proper bags (I was worried about the sub interfering as well) before midnight (it was new years) and felt the entirety of the bags (good blue double seals). So thats around 12 hour half life (IV) until dosing with opiates (IV) but I would say it all completely depends on tolerance/diet/weight/ect.

it's been done many times and documented here within thousands upon thousands of entries.

the general consensus is 24-36hours, dependent or not. there still may be residual blockade effects.
