i have sins for sale today.

of sins, i have plenty
but my regrets are few.
my sins trespass against me,
my sins will never trouble you.

i eaten the sins of others,
i filled my soul full
of all their pain and sorrow
and all the burdens too.

i did it knowing one day
another would come along
and eat up all of my sins
so once again i could be strong.

i've taken my turn and now it's time
to release all burdens past
to know i have made it
and happiness might be mine at last.

so send that sin eater over
tell him not to forget and pass by.
i'll be waiting for him
and not one tear will i cry.

left in me by others
and finally to be free of you
