My friend gets prescribed lorazepam (ativan) for anxiety and occasionally takes suboxone recreationally. If he took 1 or 1.5 mg of ativan around 9:30 - 9:45 AM, how long should he wait before doing the suboxone to avoid a potentially dangerous synergy?

IF he's used to both of those drugs he could take them at the same time at those doses, although I'm not going to recommend it. Ativan doesn't last that long and if you are used to suboxone it's very hard to overdose on. Stick to a low dose of Sub like 1mg since you don't need much especially if you aren't taking it for opiate maintenance.

Try not to make it a daily habit, I take subs and benzos daily and it's hard to get off of them. Enjoyable if you're not addicted.

I too take Suboxone and benzos daily, and it is safe in lower doses (which is what you're talking about, I wouldn't go above 1mg Ativan/lorazepam).

Higher doses should only be undertaken by somebody with tolerance.

Frlend has been taking one mg Ativan mon thru fri for the past three weeks. But has not touched an opie for over ten weeks will one mg of bupe provide max recreational value? (referring to the bupe/norbupe ratio)

Also 1.5mg of Ativan was ingested this morning
