Simple Insomnia

so i take my pills
and i close my eyes
but im not sleeping
and i wonder why
so i send my love on angels’ wings
and i grasp my blanket for the comfort it brings
but im only warmed by the tears i shed
and alone i shiver, with so many thoughts burning in my head
