I have been in the game for a long time coming now and have seen all aspects (the fein life, the pitch life, the recovery life, the clicks and gangs). This time era covers 2003 till present day for the record.

Over the years I have lived in two locations, somewhere in the deep south as well as the northeast section of the US. The laws vary as usual, but the enforcement to me has changed, atleast since moving to the northeast. I have seen people and myself be taken to jail in the south for things so minor as having a beer in your hand. Yes the law down south may be more harsh, can't say but this is why I'm posting.

Lately on TV (newer cops episodes) as well as experiences of my own in the streets, I have noticed more and more people getting summons for simple possession of the harder drugs out there. I'm wondering if this is because of overcrowding, epidemic factors, or maybe just a overall different approach to fightin crime? Could it be location? I'm pretty sure it could be too. I was wondering what the Bluelight world may think and what you guys experience out on the west coast , since SWIM has not been out there yet.

I'm sure a ton of factors may play into the officers decision to summons as well. Like past records, color of skin, ect. Also, if more and more summons are being written, what are the punishments they are handing out?

Let me know what you guys think and experience out there.

You're right, it really depends on where you get busted at. My stepson got pulled over with weed and they gave him a summons. Either way, you're still going to end up going to court. This is bordering on legal discussion which is prohibited at Bluelight. Sorry I have to close this. Notice I changed your swim, we don't allow this either. Welcome to Bluelight!
