My test kit is about 1.5 years old now, and the simons reagent A has a precipitate in it now. I don't remember it being like this. Does simons precipitate out when it gets too old? Will it not work now?

Thanks

^Yes it does. I would advise replacing the kit. It may still work, it may not. But even if it does work, sensitivity will be greatly reduced.

Shelf life of Simons is extended by storing away from light and heat.
