I was wondering what can be said about the difference in reaction times with simon. For example, if one were to test a few different pills, one turned cobalt blue almost instantly and real deep cobalt blue color, one took a little longer and wasnt as deep cobalt blue and the other took just a little bit longer and wasn't distinct as the first. Can anything be said about the quality of mdma related to the simons test?

not that I know of, i mean remember that Meth will come up as well in the simon test. IMO....

I think it has more to do with the way it was synthed or made. I've had terrible pills that came up real dark and great pills that was a very dull reaction.

just my 2 cents

I would also suggest the reaction times could be different with the density of the pill. I've noticed that pills that are powdery tend to change color faster and harder, denser pills take a few secs longer to absorb and change.

Thanks for the info. I usually scrape all around the pill when I test, bottom, top, sides and inside.

I've found that pills that change colour quickly, or go very dark blue to be better. And I've had some HARD pills that have changed very quickly and very dark. In my experience, its the darkness of the colour and the speed of the reaction that count, nothing else... Of course, your mile-age may vary, so this reply isn't a great deal of use..
