They're like goblins, prodding
at me with sticks of wood sung
in a dark key. Surgical utensils,
that pierced some sectors in my
brain, and now life seems stale,
polluted with glimpses of happiness,
ever present reminders that serve
as a rotten carrot to follow. No
prince sits upon a throne, and
no princess lies in bed alone, as
all the regal and ivory illusions
have vaporized across a reddened sky
in the early morning.

Something is different, one of life's supporting
beams, somehow tweaked, enforcing
the law of suffering upon my weakened
resolve. No asylum will take me, nor
counsel my thoughts, I carry my misery
with me, and it weighs heavily in my
top pocket.

With a bug net, I tried to
capture a fleeting moment of utopia,
and true enough I failed, as everything
does. Five cents tossed into a concrete
wishing well, yielded nothing but a splash,
and my wishes, they never came true.

Holy fuck. Wow. Normally I just have this freeform interpretation of a piece I like, but this is so good I just have a few things to say. That was emotional to me. It really deeply touched me. I love this, it is amazing. That's all, love to you!
