Opioids signs of overdose?

so im sitting here typing this up nodding pretty hard currently. Earlier today I took about 200mg of tramadol with 1 mg of klonopin, and about three hours ago I took another 150 mg of tramadol and .5mg of klonopin. Needless to say Im nodding of to the point that im getting blurred and double vision trying to keep my eyes open and im dropping stuff that I have in my hands. I was just wondering what the signs of overdose are and if I should force myself to stay concious. Mixing the benzos with that much tramadol probably wasnt the best idea....I know, but I didnt think much of it at the time.
 
Posting on a forum asking if you're over dosing isn't really the best course of action, the members here aren't medical professionals. If you feel like somethings wrong seek medical attention.
 
Asking if I'm overdosing wasn't my intention, I'm full coherent and.can walk talk etc. I've just been nodding an awful lot, and I got to.thinking what the actual signs overdose are.....purely out of.curiosity.
 
Ohhh I see I see! Well signs of opiod overdose can include…. vomiting, blue lips/finger tips, extreme sedation, shallow breathing, stupor, confusion etc.
 
It's the part that most people use them for, honestly. Yes. The blurry vision, dropping shit, nodding out and falling asleep for bits of time, that's all normal.

I found with my ex she was nodding to hard when she would start hysterically crying and saying that I scared her Every time I made sure she was okay because she had her eyes shut and was drooped over on our bed this would happen.
 
Are you okay now?

Trams have seizure risk, so without a tolerance and taking that much of a dose can cause issues. The small amount of benzos can lower the risk.

I'm guessig this isn't the 1st time you've done this.
 
Yeah I'm fine, I've just never really nodded out that hard and it was kind. Of freaking me out though. Kingpin is prescribed and I pretty much take it at least once or twice a day for anxiety. But I think I might take a break from the trans for awhile as my tolerance is getting close to the 400mg Mark to feel good.
 
Every time I OD'd on opiates I had no idea. I passed out right away, or eventually just blacked out.
A few times when I felt close, I asked my wife to keep a close eye on me, but never stopped breathing so I was ok.

Best thing is to have narcan on hand and have a buddy (who knows cpr) keep an eye on you. Careful mixing in the benzos .
 
Nodding just comes with it.. I personally would try to avoid the nodd, but I couldn't til I started tapering down…
I've overdosed 3 times, it doesn't necessarily mean 'death' … some can overdose when conscious. There are just different levels….and sx depending on each individual. For me I would start seizing up usually, vomit.. and or pass out immediately… which was rare as my passing out didn't usually happen til I started nodding a few hours after use. So I came to know the difference between my overdoses and nods.

Overdoses for me were usually using H on top of other long acting opiates. Trams are partially in another family though… or has a different makeup and it's own set of complications… from what I've learned and taking it myself… :\

It might also happen that you have an intense cough and really nod few hours later.
When it happened to me, I went to sleep thinking I was fine. It took longer to realize I was nodding afterwards..
I had also lost my consciousness totally.
 
Ive burnt countless holes through most of my clothes/bed/sheets/carpets from dropping my cig while nodding off opiates.Its perfectly normal and the reason many users do opiates in the first place.
Try not to make yourself anxious(done that a thousand times) cause youre just ruining your high.

If im not mistaken,like 90% of ODs comes from IV use anyways..
 
True, besides you are not doing so bad. How long ago was that?

This. There is a big diff between nodding and OD. OD is not responding to stimuli of any type (pain, shouting) and cyanosis (lips, fingers turning blue). As long as someone is able to breath (ie, on their side, not collapsed in a kneeling position) and not aspirating vomitus (hence why you lay someone down on their side), they are *generally* ok. If they go slam out, and start turning blue, THAT is an OD, and requires some very cool headed thinking and possibly CPR to save someone's ass.

Nodding is AWESOME. Nodding on Tramadol, even better. ODs SUCK. The problem is there is an invisible, shifting line between the two, and chasing the ultimate nod WILL OD you eventually.
 
I think the OP wanted advice to look for when alone and going into an OD by him/herself; not what to look for in someone else.

I really don't think there is much you can do by yourself. Every OD I've had, and every OD I've seen, the user was pretty much was unaware of it happening, let alone able to do anything about it. This is why I always advise people to use with a buddy.

I'm just giving anecdotal advice, so please, feel free to add.
