Shrooms...To Do or Not

Myself and weed do not agree with each other. It is just not my type of drug, I do not like the high. I have only had about two good experiences when being high out of ten or 15 times of smoking weed.

Would it be a smart idea for me to take some shrooms? Shrooms have been the only psychedelic that intrigue me.

Acid, too intense.
Salvia, I have asthma so the less smoking I do the better.
DXM, haven't tried but am also intrigued...not as much as shrooms.

So...opinions???

I think there's a rule against "what should I take" threads.

That said, whoever told you acid was "more intense" than mushrooms (or "too intense" when mushrooms were not) had no idea what they were talking about. It depends entirely on dosage.

i cannot suggest DXM enough but in low doses for your first time (300mgs) anything over that youll get rocked. i was scared to try shrooms but wen i did it was great. its an amazing feeling on the comeup, like wen your not tripping yet bet if you stare at something it looks kinda wierd. ten the body high kicks in and youll love it. just try an eighth ur first time. and remember you will come down

Pan's Advocate thinks rightly that there is a rule against "What should I take?" threads. Not for us to tell anybody what they should or shouldn't take - your decision entirely. Best advice is to research the effects (both positive and negative) of any drug you choose to use and take it from there. The Big & Dandy threads on all of the substances you are interested in would be a good start (linkies in my sig) and also Erowid had a ton of great info, trip reports and so on.

DXMkid: Please don't advise people take such relatively high doses of shrooms for a first time - 1/8 of mushies would fuck me up in a big way and I'm not exactly inexperienced in such things. Everybody reacts differently so needs to find their own comfort levels. YMMV.
