Shrooms Alone????

I personally enjoy mind-altering psychedelics by myself, but some people flip out, especially for their first time. A trip-sitter is the best practice. They don't have to take the shrooms. They're only there to help you have a good experience, someone to talk to, etc.

You can't find anyone to do shrooms with you? I can't imagine someone not wanting to do shrooms, unless of course they've never done it before...eating something that grows out of shit can seem a little scary at first. My advice- Talk some of your friends into trying it with you, they will have a blast and be forever in your debt.

If it is your first time on shrooms, definatley do it with someone else. What would you do if you were alone and you flipped out?

I wouldn't reccommend shrooming with a friend who you had to convince to shroom. But, perhaps a friend who has tripped or shroomed in the past can be with you, even if they're not taking anything. You will believe that they're shrooming too, while you're having a fabulous time. I don't know why, you just have trouble believing that the new perspective isn't reality. Really, the people around you act as guides for your experience, whether they'll be able to share your thoughts later or not. Pick someone who can ease your first-time jitters, and smooth out all that uneccessary apprehension. Also someone who doesn't mind eight to nine hours of lunacy, and can stick by you the *entire* time.
Normally, I would reccommend doing something your first time someplace familiar and comfortable - but not so with shrooms. I'd start off someplace outside of the familiar where you'd usually go to pontificate.
And please resist the temptation to call people you know and tell them the way things *really* are ...
Oh yeah, and some good advice that someone gave me before my first time ... "Remember, there is Love in the world, no matter how elusive, it exists as a tangible." May sound like hippie-drivel, but it'll all make sense

Enjoy!
