Hello all. I am a novice when it comes to tripping, so could I get some basic tips on how to best experience Mushrooms? Also, is there any such thing as bad/spiked mushrooms, if yes how could I figure they are (though I doubt this, just making sure) and I've heard for a first time 1.5-2.0g is the best dosage.

So on the whole just a basic trip guide for mushrooms.

Cheers y'all!

The first question to ask yourself is why do you want to take mushrooms ? what do you expect/hope to get from the experience ?

There are no wrong answers to this question, but IMO it is important to be honest with yourself about this before you start.

^Yeah, there is no wrong answer. Even if your purpose is to just see some funny shit, then it's not wrong. But be honest and try to pick certain activities based on what you expect (questions regarding that, we're always here to help :D). For the more basic stuff, this thread could be of help.

Have a nice controlled setting, a place where you feel safe.
Have someone experienced sit with you or trip with you, this can do wonders as being alone for your first time can turn very frightening (TRUST ME)
And as much as I can't stress enough how important a controlled setting is, don't try to control everything. Have a movie you maybe want to watch, or music you want to listen to, art supplies to draw a picture perhaps, but don't plan your whole trip beforehand, just gooooo with the flooooow
There is no such thing as spiked mushrooms, they all contain the same drugs to get you high, psilocin and psilocybin
As well yea that dosage sounds good for a first time, although I definitely wouldn't exceed 2 grams as long as they're good

That's really good advice, and it really made me think and also that the link to the other thread proved to be really informative.
You guys helped a lot, thanks! :D
