Threads like this exist for the porn star that lives inside everyone. Who wouldn't want to be admired for their excellent appendages? I bet some of us have gone and had really great, confident, wonderful sex as a result of some compliment by someone we're never likely to meet based on a photo of our boobs.

I wanna know how BT remembered a post in an SLR thread, about muscly guys, from February this year, by somewhat of a lurker. I s'pose that's why he's a supermoderator then,
I think the rack thread is fine and dandy. If you think it's tragic, boring, degrading, filthy, contemptuous, yucky, or otherwise offensive then don't participate. People (women) who post their "rack" are fully aware of what posting these pics on the 'net could mean for them. If they were overly concerned they wouldn't post the pics. Simple really, it's like porn and other offensive material is available to all of us only a few short mouse clicks away yet I rarley surf for porn etc etc because I currently have minimal interest (and I've got enough saved already ). And in any case a "rack" is simply another piece of female anatomy that we've placed this stigma around. Years ago women who showed their ankle were thought to be daring. Islamic women can't show any body part at all. Let it all hang out in the name of freedom I say.

Shredda I don't like those type of threads at all. I think they serve no positive purpose on BL. Can you imagine Erowid having stuff like that on their site?! They'd lose crediblity real quick.
Even though the women have voluntarily posted their bits in there, it still looks degrading and to be honest, it also seems a bit of a sad and desperate way to seek approval from men (and other women). And IMO approval-seeking is the only reason other than money, why women choose to do that kind of stuff.
Some girls will say they do it because they're exhibitionists...well i dont think i've met an exhibitionist yet, who wasn't seeking some kind of approval. Often, a lot of them are actually quite shy underneath. Then there's other women who'll claim that they do it because they're "proud of their bodies" or "comfortable with their sexuality". Personally, i think thats hogwash and i think they're in denial. I've heard old and tired porn stars saying exactly the same thing and it's pathetic to hear them...so gimme a break girls!!
Women who are secure in themselves and their sexuality dont seek and dont need, constant validation.
Whenever i've chosen to show my disapproval of stuff that i think is degrading either on BL or in real life, i've found the typical reaction from women who are into it, is to get angry and defensive and call me a prude or say im jealous...which is not exactly original or correct. When they have that kind of reaction it just reinforces my thoughts about their insecurity.
I'm a fairly open-minded artistic person and an ex-professional dancer, so I'm definately comfortable with both my sexuality and how my body looks and feels. Therefore prudishness and jealousy are not the reasons why i disapprove of rack threads. I don't sit at my computer wishing i had tits like <insert Girly Fluffy Name here>.I simply think they're degrading. So please save any flames of that type.

auntiedote, don't you realise that your disapproval of something that individuals choose to do will evoke exactly the same reinforcement in the minds of those you're trying to influence? Or are you too caught up in your piety to realise that other people are just as clever as you and can make up their own minds without your assistance?

a big thumbs-up to everyone in this thread who's defended the rights of others in this thread, regardless of what they personally think. if i were a chick, i don't think i'd ever post a picture of my breasts...but big fucking deal. what the fuck would give me the right to hold everyone else to my own morals? people think differently, and if someone does want to get a few compliments by doing something as simple as taking their top off (it's just a body people, get the fuck over it), then more power to them.

Well... it's like this...
I was lookin thru shredda's posts to see if he was male or female, because I had noticed a potential flame war about to burst in this thread, and someone had referred to shredda's posts as "his posts" and I wanted to see if they were right.
Anyway, I stumbled on that quote about Cosmo magazine in shredda's post list, from SLR or wherever it was, and just gave up and decided to have a laugh instead, cut and pasted the whole thing... I thought it was funny
