Should pure MXE make my nose slightly numb?

I snorted 2 doses yesterday (at separate times) from a very trustworthy friend who said it was pure (bought it from some guy in europe I think) and both times my nose and throat went slightly numb for a few minutes. Not as much as cocaine does but enough to make me wonder. Should MXE do that or is it possible it was cut with a little bit of coke?
 
There are so many batches circulating no one can say for sure if it was pure. I've never felt any numbness and I'm quite certain almost all of my batches have been pure.

Anyway you can be quite certain it's not cut with coke. Coke is much, much more expensive and no dealer or vendor would be so stupid as to put a compound you can make much more profit from by selling it alone than to mix it with MXE.
 
It wasn't completely numb, more like a weird feeling, similar to snorting pain pills kind of. My main concert is failing a drug test for something "hardcore"
 
Sounds suspicious like there it is cut with a local anaesthetic like lidocaine, procaine or benzocaine. But I suppose MXE itself can also be a bit numbing, it's still unclear to me what the opioid effects can be attributing, last I heard though they should be almost ignored theoretically. Even if people do feel comfortable like a warm blanket on it. There may be other explanations, and ketamine too can feel like sinking in a nice bath (I can never tell if the bath is warm or cold though, it's just numbing soft and comfortable.

This has one foot in ID-thread territory though.

It would be highly appreciated if other posts won't be coming from hearsay but from personal experiences and particular effects from tested (pure) batches.
 
The MXE I received had no burning sensation. It felt perfectly fine going up, and in retrospect did have a very slight numbing effect, but not much. If it burns when you snort it, it's definitely not pure.
 
I haven't insufflated MXE yet but three different batches were definitely numbing when used sublingually. Local anesthetic effect from MXE on the tongue every time I've tried it.

I failed a urine and blood screen for "PCP", which was undoubtedly caused by recent MXE use. Be careful with MXE .. as in, don't use it, if you are being tested.

Agreed. I highly enjoy snorting MXE compared to Molly and MPA. It's not bad at all, feels normal going up, and the drip isn't bad at all. I don't really notice any numbing or burning affect at all. Are you sure you got MXE and not MPA? I snorted MPA today for the first time and it kind of stung. Not a fun feeling... maybe I'm just too used to snorting MXE.
