My friend overdosed from Oxy yesterday he thinks the police are going to get a warrant and raid his place. He has asked me to go there and remove his stash.

Did you think I should do it, If I go there and the cops catch me it will be hard explaining what I'm doing there on the upside though I could get high on his stash!
 
These are weird questions. NO. Why on earth would they raid your house because you od'd? I don't even understand this.
 
If you're a cop and you go ask a judge for a warrant for someone's home because you think he OD'd on something, the judge will laugh at you or place you in contempt for being an idiot.

You simply need more proof than that to get a warrant LOL
 
I don't know nothing like that has ever happened to me but its what he thinks I don't know if they have said anything to him, or if he is being paranoid about it.
 
Do a dry run if you are that paranoid. Got into his house, leave, and if you are not stopped it just proves that you have nothing to fear. Then go back and take the stash.
 
I don't think I've ever heard of police raiding a person's house because they OD'd. How could a cop that asks for a warrant because the person OD'd justify it?

WRONG! Police do NOT need proof of anything to get a warrant, they simply need probable cause.

If the officer feels that any selling or even giving away of narcotics has taken place out of the home where the person OD'ed, then yes he can request a warrant, and in most cases would probably be granted one.
However, if the person who OD'ed was legally prescribed the drug they OD'ed on, the judge would not grant it.
 
I would bet my life that no fucking cop anywhere in the world is concerned with this guys house, or his "stash". When someoned OD's they either deal with it or go the hospital, where they will get care and then sent home. NO reason for the police to get involved. And even if, in some strange universe, a cop somehow found out that this kid OD'ed.....he still would have NO right "raiding" the kids house. Its just plain rediculous. The cop simply wouldnt give a shit.

Now if there are things going on which were not disclosed in the original post than things could be different. Like if the kids house is a known drug dealing house, or something of that nature....then there is a POSSIBILITY of the cops showing up, but STILL, the chances of those cops having a warrant in there hands when they show up is slim to none.
 
dude, even if the reality of the cop's trying to get a warrant to search your buddy's pad was true (which it is not) you should always put your ass on the line to help a buddy out. Go get the stash, reward yourself for doing it by getting high, and tell your friend to log on here to learn a little harm reduction.
 
police will not be involved unless there was a reason to. ontop of that the hospital is not going to contact police over an OD. how would they even know you had a stash let alone were a drug addict. hey it could have been your buddys first use and just od'd that day.... don't sweat the small stuff..

and face obstruction of justice charges + jail time. Smart dude. Do it yourself.
