Heroin Should I try shooting up?

I am really torn with what to do here.. so I figured I would post something like this..

I always used to tell my self, nooo i would NEVER do needles. But then again I also told myself ' Noo i would NEVER smoked weed and became the biggest smoker and dealer when i was in highschool. Never do more than weed, I did ecstasy and became the biggest dealer for THAT too for a year in highschool. Told myself I would never do more than those and ended up doing lsd once, shrooms once, coke a handful of times, adderall type stuff, salvia a few times, and then finally painkiller pills, and eventually OC80s all the time when they were out.

But then I told myself, nooo but I would NEVER do heroin.. not that.. i know i said it all ebfore but that not.. but i did because the price and it being stronger per dollar spent.

And it seems just everyone I used to know that has done heroin went to needles at some pint and used needles and some stopped, some dident, some others started when i was clean and stopped and started and use a needle now. So its not like its impossible to stop.

I used to do heroin a bunch and be borderline addict, or maybe i just tell myself I wasnt and I was. I stopped when I finally had no money and I wasn't going to resort to sellings just to make more to buy more.. so i got on suboxone and i was clean for 8 moths until a week or so ago when I just wanted to have some fun again

-So i found someone with AMAZING deals so i was able to get a lot, but he got busted today and I can't get anymore today, so thats one point to a possiblity of me doing it.. since he got busted n i cant get it from him n he was the only person.

-I am on suboxone and plan to stay on suboxone for aslong as I need to be, and it worked very well for 7 monghs but i slipped up once .. prob cuz i took less than prescribed. So i have plenty of suboxone and am on suboxone if i decided to for when these are gone and i can stop pretty easily i would think.

So my question is.. should i try it out?
I ask because sniffing just doesnt really do what sniffing used to do anymore, its not really as euphoric, but i dont know if i want to get myself into some vey huge if i do it.. or if shooting it and it being a huge thing is really just all this propaganda ive heard and believed my whole life and it really isnt as bad as it is made out to be. I mean.. heroin is heroin .. right? I mean, ive done heroin and ive done a lot and plenty of it over time and tons of times, and its heroin either way, is it really that big of a difference and a whole new level that i shouldnt do it?
The reasons for thining of trying it just now is because its just not doing what sniffing used to do as much anymore.. my only guy i know got busted today, and i dont even do it.. i was clean for over 7 months. I have suboxone and ive been on it for the past 7+ months I've been clean.This is the last of I have and can get since my guy is done. Ive just been curious about it for such a long time but been ehh about it because i never knew if it could or would turn into anything... and ive read so many times that if ur going to even DO HEROIN in the first place, snorting and smoking are a complete waste.

Also, one last thing .. if you go to shoot, can you go back to sniffing?
 
No, I would recommend not. I have only been IVing since last September, addicted to opiates for 6+ years. The needle has ruined my life/put me on a downward spiral faster than I could have anticipated. I thought I was in control... never the case, not 'really'.

Can you go back to sniffing? Some people can and do. It really depends on how much you like it, access to needles (the whole 'kit'), etc. Sounds to me though, or, I have the snealing suspicion that you would try it, like it, occasionally use it like that until you 'always' do... and voila.

It doesn't sound like you have the will power in the past to "stop" so why do you think it will be any different now? Sure there are plenty of users who have not seen their addiction spiral since IV'ing but percentage wise if you look around this site many more have regretted their decision. It's not like you will ever regret not using a needle.
 
I'd have to say: Absolutely not. There is no way possible for me or anyone to tell you to shoot heroin and be in congruence with the entire purpose of this amazing website.

You don't need the needle man. All you'd be doing is creating more problems for yourself, and one that could potentially either kill you or completely ruin your life. It's just simply not worth it.
 
I could write an essay on why you should not do this. I think a tl;dr post however would be less beneficial to you than my blunt opinion.

Let me create a couple of quick and easy rules from Tripman's post.

Rule #1 - If you think about shooting heroin, refer to rule #2
Rule #2 - Do. Not. Proceed.

In all seriousness, you have to take everyone in this thread at their word. When we say it's not worth it, that's a gross understatement.
 
Nah bro, all these guys are just jelly of ya. Shooting heroin has SO many advantages...

1- You look cool
2- You get super high
3- You become a millionaire (reffer to Kurt Cobain)
4- You get to pretend to be a doctor
5- Your veins change to pretty colors

That's just a few!


Seriously?...you know the answer to this. You NEVER hear someone go "I was doing good..then I started shooting dope..and..my life...just..got...SO MUCH BETTER :DDD" NO.

It's always like "I was a wealth buisness man then I started banging dope. Now I'm divorced and giving handjobs for quarters"
 
Should you shoot dope? Nope.

Because usually, it's never just that "one time." First, you start shooting heroin. Then, you're shooting everything you can get your hands on. Another reason you shouldn't shoot your dope, is because it's a gamble. What if you get a bag of super potent shit, and you're used to doing some that's weak? Boom, overdose.

...If you want to experience dope, besides sniffing it....just plug it.

Hopefully you take our advice and pass on the needle, BUT, if you DO decide to try shooting dope....PLEASE do your research on it. In the name of harm reduction, please read what you can on IV technique and such. Be as clean and as sterile as possible.... But again, don't shoot it. Just plug it.

You are on a harm reduction forum. Do you really think you will get anyone telling you to start IVing? Have some common sense.
 
As someone who's been IVing various substances for about 14-15 years, I say don't. Sure, good technique and sanitation minimize risk, but it is still there. And when you IV, it becomes a big part of your life. The ritual. The secret (even from other drug users) the usually poor company of other IV users.
I think everyone who's considering IV use should be forced to sit and watch someone trying to hit for hours,mutilating themselves, turning their body into a bruised up pincusion, only to give up in frustration. Or the folks who hit in their forehead. Or their cock, cause that's the only good vein they have left.
 
Noo0o. Youve been through subox treatment already, and now you want to try shooting up the shit? I guess sticking needles in our arm is "cool" again? Dude don't put yourself through the torture of deciding, just dont do it. Fucking stop sniffing it too if you ask me, but IV'ing is not as cool as it sounds.
