Benzos Should i take 3mg Xanax?

I am benzo naive, so I never took Xanax or any kind of benzo before. Except half a pill of Ativan, not sure if that count though because it didn't even work. I'm just asking if its a good idea? It wouldn't make me pass out?
 
Start with .5 or 1mg. I have been on Xanax for over a year and I still stay below 1mg/day unless I'm using it for another drugs comedown.
 
3mg of xanax is highly unecessary unless you're tolerant. IME xanax isn't the most recreational substance, and it is far from euphoric unless you have anxiety problems. Why do you want to take xanax? If you dont have any anxiety i wouldnt expect much. My anxiety is really bad so i get much more of an effect from xanax compared to majority of my friends. Start at .5mg which is one piece of most bars, and move your dose up from there. The funny thing with benzos is you don't notice how fucked up you are untill you come down. I wouldnt expect much euphoria, i mean it has some but its not as pronouced as the euphoria from opiates.
 
i wouldnt abuse benzos if i was in your shoes, save it for a day when you really need it for anxiety, panic, ect...

3mg is overkill, you will black out and/or just fall asleep.

try 0.5mg to start out.
