Should I roll alone today? I have some fire molly right now! Urgent!

If you take ssri and mdma together youcould die from serotonin syndrome. My friend got it once. Mdma will fry your serotonin system making you more depressed. I guess having anti depressants will fix that. I'm trying to get those prescribed

You guess wrong, dude. Anti-depressants after mdma is a BAD idea. Let nature run it's course, it's much better than doing more drugs like SSRIs.
Just google it and you'll find tons of people struggling with mdma comedown like symptomps, only much more lasting, after using ssri for a long time

There is some evidence to suggest taking an SSRI an hour into consuming MDMA reduces neurtoxicity. I cant see how they would cause serotonin syndrome.

Taking SSRIs to cure MDMA related depression however seems to have mixed results.

Sometimes SSRIs can be a great cure for certain people.

There a mixed blessing sometimes good sometimes bad. Usually SSRIs are prescribed first before any other types of ADs are tried.

Hi, noob to BL here.

I wouldn't say "permanently" rewire, just rewire as long as you're taking the SSRI. The main think they do is allow more seratonin to be active within your spinal column. My experience with SSRIs was very negative, but it was positive because the doc said that only shows that SSRIs were not for me. My symptoms were a total and complete loss of all emotion, along with overwhelming complacency and passivity, which took about 2 weeks or so to be obvious (which is normal). It was all I could do to drag myself out of bed, go to work, come home, eat and repeat next day. My slight depression went away, but in a terrible way.

The absense of any & all emotion was a very un-welcome replacement. I can definately see how this would be good for someone with major depression, but mine was minor. Doc said these symptoms only show that I don't have major depression & don't need SSRIs. I agree SSRIs can be a really bad deal, but I also have a couple of friends who are helped greatly by them. If they go off SSRIs then they return to major depression, including suicidal issues with one of them. For me I was on SSRI for a few months until I discovered the emotional absense was caused by them, quit on my own accord, and was back to normal in about a week or two. Permanent re-wire is, I've heard, only for the length of time one keeps taking SSRIs.

You don't "need" to start SSRI therapy any certain time because an SSRI's effects take anywhere from one week to three weeks to be noticeable, depending on the person. It took me about two weeks to notice the terrible effect SSRIs were having on me.

I just thought I was becoming extremely complacent and losing my emotions when I figured it out "OH! THIS is the SSRI I'm taking!" Then I stopped because I hated it so much.

In a way the effect was subtle & I truly thought I was just getting more & more passive & un-emotional naturally. But it was the SSRI!

When I stopped there was NO withdrawal. I did homework before stopping & I didn't ever see where very many people experienced SSRI withdrawal unless they had MAJOR depression, & then the withdrawal was the depression's return, sometimes with a vengence. SSRIs are a tricky deal, be careful with them & pay close attention to how you are feeling after about a week.
