SHOULD I inject alone?

^You can't really say don't get addicted, I think there's more to it than that. :)

I wouldn't inject alone first time, just incase something goes wrong.

The first question that comes to my mind is; why would you want to inject coke alone? I'm guessing you are addicted to cocaine, becuase I don't know any users that use coke alone (it's more of a social drug I guess), and if that's the case then, well, drug addicts are known for doing stupid, unsafe things to get high.

Coke doesn't "have" to be for socializing only. I know many people who love the body high they get and the euphoria assosiated with it. Some people even enjoy the whole speed rush when IV by themselves.

You have to remember there are different degrees of addiction, but I think that once a person starts using alone (especially a social drug like coke which is most often used in social settings), they have developed some sort of mental addiction. This is not to say that anyone who uses alone has reached the pinnacle of addiction, but I've never known a casual user to take coke by themselves, nevermind inject it. There are always exceptions to every rule, but I think that once you've gotten to the point where you're injecting coke alone, you just might be slightly addicted to it.

On a side note, I've had three addiction doctors, and one of the first things all of them asked me when assessing my problem was if I used by myself.
I think it's safe to say that using alone is more often than not a sign of addiction.

Injecting Alone, NO

If you've never Injected, Don't even think about it. Going the IV route is not for everyone and definately for the first timer alone. I've been injecting for about 4yrs now and the first couple of years I never even conceived the idea of going alone. Different Drugs different effects. The Hit and Miss ratio is nothing to play around with. If you miss, you've got one hell of a (bubble) that can lead to an abscess and severe infection possibly leading to Sepsis. Too much of a good thing and the bluelight goes out for good. Best to hold off on taking the IV route alone, the world is more interesting with you in it..

Peace Out

I always did coke alone, initially for want of a female partner who could turn me on without turning me in. It soon became a habit to do it alone. Coke = on my own.

I would never do MDMA alone though, that would be a waste.

Still I think when you do coke alone you tend to want to do more and more. There's no socializing (or sex, except your own hand) to divert you from "one more line" or "one more shot". And, of course, if you're alone you don't share, the whole stash if for you alone and you do more.

I never got handcuffed though and I'm sure this is partly due to the fact that I went it alone. 3 people = 3 x the risk of the cops kicking in your door.

I agree though with the previous poster than lonesome use is a sign of addiction, no doubt about that.

If I inject coke ever again -- which I promised myself I won't -- I'll do so alone but I'll come equipped with one of those outfits used by hockey players and American football players, complete with helmet and shoulder padding. So when I fall prey to another brain seizure my bones, skull and teeth will be safe.

I'd agree, it's best to have someone on hand to ensure your safety - and vice versa, then again, yer shooting coke, and if you "did too much" you'd basically have a heart attack, so you better have a sober friend that knows CPR ...

Personally I would say 95% of thetime I shot up alone, but this is bluelight, so it's really a "do as I say, not a I do" situation - so no, don't boot alone!
Agreed. ;)

Thanks for reviving an almost 4 year old thread :)

Say no to injecting alone. With that said, I've always injected alone, but hey. Just my way of doing things.

interesting...i was under the (now that i think of it, kinda dumb) impression that i was the only one who actually bothers with th whole speed dial 911 and unlocked doors thing...i even go a step further: went through the whole EMT-B certification course (a few years ago, but i try to keep up with minor changes made every so often - - i decided to take the course after i was in a situation where a close friend ODed and everybody just stood around looking panicked and stupid til the medics arrived) and i keep a narcan injection kit, CPR face shield, and a basic first aid kit at home. i imagine my level of preparedness borders on paranoia, but i've always believed in a safe rather than sorry philosophy.

^^That is what all IV drug users need to do, learn all that CPR stuff.

I IV alone always, but im usually out with people as soon as im rushing and in any danger of dropping, but I use speed and I dont feel like ive ever been close to dropping while im rushing, strangely I feel like my heart is going to pop when im coming down, but I think thats just anxiety. I Have to inject alone because not everyone of my friends know I inject so its a tough one. Better safe than sorry.

If its one of your first times then definitely dont do it alone.

Never inject alone escpecially if youve never done it before.

You say you have friends that inject, why dont you want to do it around them? Thats definitely a lot safer, because they could watch after you and make sure youre doing it right.

IF YOU DONT HAVE EXPERIENCE OF CORSE NOT. AND FOR YOU MAKE THAT QUESTION IS QUITE SHORE YOU DONT. THINK MAN. THE BRAIN IS NOT ONLY TO RECEIVE DRUGS,AND IF YOU DONT HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THAT DONT GO FOR THERE. SUN.BEER,WOMANS WITH GREAT SEX,AND ENJPY LIFE BECAUSE FOR THAT WAY YOU JUST GONNA HAVE A NIGHTMARE OF LIFE.GO FOR ME YOUNG BOY. I FUCKED MINE. BUT THE PROBLEM OF BEEN YOUNG IS JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE STUPID AND DONT LISTEN NOBODY.(YOU HAVE TO GO THERE BECAUSE IS COOL FOR THE OTHERS AND DONT SEE THAT THE STUPID IS YOUR SELF. AND KNOW IS COOL BUT WHEN YOU DONT MOVE BEFORE HAVING SHIT IN YOUR BODY TO CAN MOVE,THATS NOT COOL ISNT IT? BUT ALL THE PERSONS SAY THE SAME THINK(ME NO,JUST FOR OCASION,BUTWHO WANT TO MAKE IT JUST FOR OCASION DONT HAVE THE NECESSITY OF INJECTED.THINK TWICE BEFORE TAKING THAT ROAD..:p

wow a blast from the past.

always shoot up with someone else, if applicable. it gives so many more safety options when there is a sitter. theyre there to look after you and help you in anyway.

if an OD occurs, theyre there to call the appropriate services, take you to a hospital etc etc.

i know its not always possible to shoot accompanied, but it's best practiced that way. we don't want anymore floaters

Maybe the answer depends on "who with?". If your shooting mate is at least as knowledgable and cautious as you are, that's an added safety. If they are silly and reckless you're better off without them.

should you not but hey it happens.

i know when i first started IV'ing coke i wanted someone else around that IV'ed coke also. which was a junkie. after a while they started getting on my nerves them never buying any always using up all my stuff. i start thinking every shot i share with them is 1 less shot for me. and they would get paranoid which would make me paranoid ruining getting high and jsut made me all scared.
So then i turned to having my gf be around me when i did it and she was just there to watch and chat with me. but after a while she didnt like me doing it so i wasnt gonna stop so i started doing ti alone.

I have no problem locked in the bathroom for all night by myself just sitting there fixing up then looking at a magazine or texting on my phone or sitting in the living room with my stuff on the cofffe table watching tv or a movie ( preferable a comedy nothing to serious) while i shot up. i have not real problem doing it alone. is it a sign of a problem maybe. do i get less paranoid when i do it alone definetly. cuz ill score and maybe wait a day or 2 before i do it so i kno when i do it no one else is around and kno one knows im doing it . i kno my limits and i dont try to push them with a super huge shot and end up on the floor.

its alot better then a junkie coming over bringing some not knowing who they talked to today that knows there gonna do it or if they were followed or who saw them come over. im more relaxed alone.

How much to shoot

First I'd like to say bullshit to those who say "if you shoot 5 mg of opana then you can shoot 10 mg of heroin. First of all how much water is in your heroin? you might be able to shoot 100mg of heroin if you have 95 mg of water it all depends on the strength of the dope and how much you are actually cooking. I just really get annoyed when people gage what they can shoot by the mg. You have no idea how strong something unless you cook it yourself and actually know how much water is in it.

Damn, I never thought about wearing full football or lacrosse gear for shooting large doses of coke. It would definetly be safer.
