Bupe Should i expect WD?

Hello
After beeing 5 years sober, i had a relapse and have taken Heroin for about 3 weeks (half a gram a day). 5 years ago i used tramal and after 8 days of taking it, i was clean and with no wd.
This time i've eard of subutex and used it to get myself clean of H, but then, in this foruns i see that subutex it's not as good as i've eard at first.
After 3 weeks of H, i'm on subutex for about 10 days (average 1mg a day), should i expect WD from subutex after 10 days if i stop taking it tomorrow? And if i tapp it down for the next 3 days (0,75 0,5 0,25)? What's your opinion?

They say if you are going to do a short taper with suboxone or subutex, that a week is the longest you want to use it. During that week you should be tapering as well. With that being said everyone is different. The subutex has a very long half life, after you stop taking it, it can be up to 3 days before you feel any WD's if any. Since you are so close to to the cut off point, maybe stop taking it tomorrow and wait and see how you feel. If you do start to go into WD's start it again at a lower dose and try to do a very short taper.
The fact that you are taking such a small dose, 1mg, I would think that you may not have that bad of WD's but that again just depends on the person, if you have been through H WD's, it may not be that bad for you.
If you decided to do the fast taper you talk about .75, .50 .25, the issue with this is that, on day three when you are on .25, you will still have a good amount of your original dose of 1mg in your system because of the long half life.
There is no harm in just stopping tomorrow and see how you feel in 3 days. if you feel bad then do the taper you talked about, because by then you will close to 0 subutex in your system. One note, if you do the taper mentioned above I would give yourself a day in between each dose of not taking any at all, again because the half life is so long, when you jump down from .75 to .50 and don't take a "day off" inbetween you will still have most of the .75 dose in your system, which means you will have much more subutex in your system then you thought and when you do to jump on the last day taking .25, really what will be in your system is a little of every dose you took the last three days including the full .25 dose.....I hope that makes sense you may have to read that more then once....hope i helped

thanks guys. I have another question. Does H increases the half life of subutex? If (for example) someone took heroin at the third day of beeing without subutex, does the H increases subutex in your body?

If you take heroin during bupe withdrawal.. you'll be high on heroin.. hah. What else do you think would happen...? If you take any opiate while in bupe withdrawal, you'll no longer be sick, and be as high as whatever dose you took.

I guess he thinks that he's addicted to buprenorphine, and not heroin. Hahaha!

(except on Tuesdays)

Your still addicted to opioids on bupe. Doing any opioid while in "buprenorphine withdrawal" will relieve the symptoms and prolong your dependence.

(Seriously, though, I've no idea WTF he's talking about, I'm just guessing.
 
I know that, i was just thinking when would it be safe to do a quick taper of bupe whithuot wd of bupe

You're already dependent on opiates, so you're going to withdrawal no matter what. You don't get addicted to specific drugs like, bupe, or heroin, etc.. You get dependent on opiates in general. So you can't take bupe for short enough time to lose and addiction to heroin for example, without being addicted to the bupe. Doesn't work that way.

However fast or slow you taper, you will feel some withdrawals. It's all a matter of how bad they will be , and by tapering to as low of a dose as possible, preferably the sub-milligram range, you'll have the least severe withdrawals.
 
It won't be anything you shouldn't be able to handle.

I suppose you are not going to feel like a million bucks but that is kinda the taper I would run.

I personally stay at 1/8th or 1/16th for a few days and then hit up the jump off.

If you exercise, stay hydrated, eat, and keep your mind right you should be fine.

As long as you remember how nasty smack wds are, this should be alot easier.

Still, I shouldn't use the word easy, as it is a bitch regardless. It just takes a while to adjust, but it's worth it in my opinion. Both your body and your mind are going to take a while to get back to normal.

Yeah exactly. Even coming off a very low dose of bupe, your body still has to adjust to get back to normal, and that unfortunately means you're gonna feel a little shitty. But compared to kicking a full blown dope habit or something, it's like a common cold. You will be fine, you just have to have the right attitude about it.

You didn't get addicted over night, and you wont get clean over night. Have patience and eventually your mind and body will find their balance again.

Hi Guys, thanks for the input. after this post i left subutex and went back to heroin. But then i did the right thing and got professional help,he gave clonidine, prozac and clonazepam, and all went great, i'm sober now from heroin for week and a half, and fighting for one more day. I'm only on prozac now. Thanks
