Long story short, I've been doing blow quite a bit the past three months (previously, I hadn't done it for a year, but had a big binge a year ago, which was the first time using it in like 6 years). At first, maybe once or twice a month, then every two weeks, then every week, and now that I got some extra cash, ive done it every two days the last week. I'm worried I'll get addicted. For now, I don't "feel" addicted. I don't dream about it or get cravings or anything. I just do it cuz I'm bored and love drugs in general.

The crux of the issue lands on my recovery from opiate addiction. I've been off ALL opiates including suboxone and methadone for over 2 years, and haven't done opiates recreationally for over 4 years. So I beat my DOC, and i swear i will never do needles again. It's gross, debasing, and hopeless.

Some people say coke is worse than heroin, but i completely disagree. It doesn't go as deep into your soul, it doesn't numb you completely, and it doesn't put you in a pre-natal state of unnatural bliss. Oh, and most of all, it's not physically addictive (no withdrawal, no biological attachment). At the same time, I know coke is addictive and can lead to other problems.

I only have limited money, so I'd stop when the money runs out. Again, I'm not that addicted yet, so I definitely won't sell my stuff or steal or anything like that. Another thing I should add is that I'm on olanzapine, which prevents psychosis and, according to a science paper I read, mitigates the neurotoxicity of cocaine. So I don't get comedowns or feel shitty after doing coke [just kind of tired and spaced out]. The coke I get is high quality, also.

My main worry is now that I have a couple grand of disposable cash, I'll binge on it. Then I might feel cravings when I run out.

What do y'all think?

Do you crave it after alcohol

I try and not go out on the town as it always ends up in someone or me getting at end of night ,but without alcohol I don't see the fun in it

Yeah mate, cutting it back now will be a lot easier than later.. One night a week or so is the sweet spot in terms of regular use. Reality is your nose can only take such a beating. You'll learn that 'unlimited coke'(lots more coke than you'd normally have) is actually 3-5 days of snorting then at least 2 or 3 recovering. And each time it takes longer. Your nose gets fucked up if you do it multiple days in a row.

So then your options end up being shooting it up, turning it into crack and smoking it etc to get a similar high that you get right now.

Once a week works for so many reasons too. Keep it at that. Something to look forward to, damage to heart and nose is kept minimal, high stays good with fuck all product, addiction potential greatly reduced, way less money spent etc.

You have had at least one previous addiction, you are on your way to ruin.

You have a couple of grand. You have limited money.

Save your money and stop using coke.
It will get you addicted. Excuse me, more addicted.

The fact of your past, combined with money, and your increasing use is a sign.
Stop.

You are worried you will blow a couple of grand on blow( sorry, bad pun)?

Ah that should tell you something.

See if you can go a few months without coke. How many days you last will give you an idea of your level of addiction.

Then, it will get worse. You seem to at a crossroads. Save your money and don't allow yourself to spiral out of control.

It sounds like you are headed for trouble and are already on a really slippery slope. It kinda sounds like you are asking for permission by posting and hoping people will say that everything is hunky dory. Coke is physically so bad for you, your heart more than anything.

Yeah and actually pure cocaine does really cause bad cravings maybe make think about getting some but like opiates, benzo, alcohol and most other pharmaceutical or chemical drug as far as physical cravings or the need to get the monkey off you so to speak is the cut and additives they put in it just so you do get more the cocaine I. It’s closest to plant form as possible shouldn’t really do that you not much more than say marjuana or mushrooms. I’m a firm believer in naturalism and that if a plant is here and can get you high without extreme chemical alteration it isn’t that bad for but with that said unless you put a lot of work and time into undoing all the chemical stuff that has been done to it then you shouldn’t do it because pharmaceutical and chemical can only cause some kind of negative effect and form habits
