Should I Be Concerned About Overdose?

I've taken 7 7.5/500 Hydrocodones in a single dose for two days in a row now. For the last several weeks I've taken anywhere from 4-6 hydros of that same dosage about once a week.

I'm a 34 year old male 175 lbs. and I don't drink, smoke, or do any other drugs. I'm in great shape from surfing and running, and I have no other health problems.

I feel fine other than the constipation from the Hydrocodone. I've used natural laxatives, and this has caused a little cramping.

I've read through some of the other posts about this, but I guess I'm looking for my own reassurance.

Should I be okay with these doses?

Only you know your body and your tolerance but it doesn't sound like you're anywhere near overdose and if you've taken 6 many times before and were fine, taking 7 is not going to kill you.

The doses are not acutely problematic, what might be however is the increasing quantities and frequency, that's what you have to watch out for.

Your main concern is going to be APAP poisoning. You have taken near the max daily amount (4000mg) in a single dose for 2 days now. I don't think you will have any issues, but I couldn't tell you how your body is going to react. Heavier symptoms start at the 24+ mark or so.

I suggest doing a CWE on the pills if you are going to be ingesting that much APAP in a single dose. And while once a week may not seem like a big deal, over a period of time, it can cause major liver damage.

If you are truly concerned, call either poison control or your local hospital pharmacy. Tell them the doses of APAP you have taken (you can leave out the hydrocodone), and see what they suggest you do. They may suggest you go to the ER for observation, or just to not be stupid, and quit taking so much APAP.

The hydrocodone is not the danger, as was said above, the APAP is. I'd do a cold water extraction if I were you, they're easy, you have all the supplies neccesary (pills, water, cups, some kind of filter I prefer to use a coffee filter or an old t-shirt and a freezer are all you need). The extraction also only takes 20-45 minutes depending on how many times you do the extraction on your pills.

That was the last of my bottle hydro, so I won't be taking anymore.

I have a full bottle of milk thistle in my bathroom too. I guess it would be a good idea to take them.

Yeah you don't have anything to worry about, you didn't even go over the 4000MG daily mark so I'm pretty sure there wasn't any damage done. Even if you go over the daily dosage once or twice it probably won't cause any harm, but if you do it repeatedly, that's when you can actually cause some damage to your liver.

I've been through this several times so I know, and if you don't feel any pressure in your liver or nausea or any abnormal symptoms then you don't have anything to worry about.

I agree with the above posts...the APAP is all you really need to worry about. For future reference, if it's only a short time with opiates, I'd avoid the laxatives and just wait until it happens naturally...you WILL shit eventually, even if it hurts when it does finally come out.

I know all about CWE and APAP. I just didn't think before I took the pills.

I got some information from a doctor, and he said you shouldn't be worried with a normal liver about dosages taken at one time under 8-10 grams. Consistent doses of 7.5 grams even spaced out during a 24 hour period should also be avoided.

A more accurate rule would be toxic levels at 150 mgs/kg of body weight. I could technically take 11,932 grams and it not be toxic, but I think I'll refrain.

I think I should be okay. At 4 o'clock today it will be at the 24 hour mark. I still have not had any adverse symptoms of overdose.

I am taking milk thistle.
