should drugs be legalized?

ok so my immediate answer would be yes as I am liberal and believe in personal freedoms but then I thought, drugs will become mainstream like alcohol if they were legalised and they won't be so "special". As long as I can score (which I can) I have no problem in fact the illegality of drugs kinda makes it a bit more exciting to do them.

On the other hand the health risks etc will be lessoned by the lack of impurities (or increased as people are not used to purer drugs) and crime will decrease for obvious reasons.

Discuss?
