Should Aus Social be combined with Aus Drug Discussion?

What I love about this thread is that it is the most active thread in Aus Social at the moment. Good effort Maz Dan, woke up a few people

In all honesty - i don't think it should. Aus social is starting to pick up again... the vibe is getting good in here again. Leave it as it is... let it re-grow....AusDD have their own thang going on. Leave it all as it is i say.
 
I personally don't think they should be combined. Both are doing well on their own :)

Aus Social is pretty much dead and buried. That being said, I don't think we should follow the ideas of a man who mistakes Gandhi for Alasdairm. Just sayin'.
 
I'm going with no, because it just seems wrong, and I envision all the DD folks whinging about all the OT threads in their slice of BL.

I'd like to think in ausdd we actually have a very social thing going on, it's just not that public - for the obvious reasons.

I'm furious this matter wasn't discussed with Aus staff prior to posting :X.

AusDD staff have fought long and hard to keep social chit chat out of our forum. It's no doubt one of the main reasons Aus DD is regarded as somewhat unique compared to the other regional forums; brown noise is kept to a minimum. If you want social, keep it to a social forum, simple as that!

Since you feel it's worth airing thoughts here MazDan, I'll just say I now view you in a completely different light. Not only is your post irresponsible, it's insulting, both to Aus DD and Aus social staff. I'm sure I also speak for a few other Aus DD regulars when I say if such an amalgamation ever did occur you wouldn't see me for dust! That's not a criticism of Klue, NickyJ or eggman, it's simply acknowledging each of the 2 local forums is differently focused.

Its time for us to do the same and not only will it improve the qualioty of social threads but will also help make bluelighht similar across the board.

maz, you know the procedure having been on staff for as long as you personally have; if you've got a suggestion for mods then hit them up via PM.

i'm closing this for the time being, allowing for the mods to review
