Hello fellow blue lighters. Just joined this forum as I stumbled upon it from a google search. I am an organic chemist active in drug discovery field. When I was younger I probably tried everything that has been posted on this forum. Now I am older and I don't do any illegal drugs. It is my belief that there is probably a good medical application for derivatives of some of the active agents described in this forum as well as medical marijuana, but for political reasons there is much resistance toward this type of research. My hope is that for those who do experiment with drugs that they stay safe and healthy.

Nice to see a fellow scientist here. I work in the university as a research associate, but my work doesn't really have anything to do with drug discovery... I've been interested in that field as a hobby for many years though, and when I'm bored at work I often use the literature search engine to find journal articles about new drug molecules. What class of compounds are you currently researching?
I haven't used illegal drugs for years either (but I drink way too much and smoke like a chimney), and my interest in drugs is currently mainly theoretical...
