It's almost that time for a 6day trip to Tobago with friends. Last time I took 50 0.5mg Xanax there and came back to Trinidad with 4. And you could imagine the amnesia and such experienced. I didn't remember 75% if the trip on top of the dangerous combos of codeine and booze. Anyway I'm still alive inshallah. Oh and the nasty rebound effects from the Xanax yuck.

Anyway, it is in my best interest to completely avoid what happened last year with careful dosing and such.

What's gonna be in the goodie bag this year is 5 54mg concerta, big bags of the grass and ~15 Xanax 0.5mg/Valium 10mg.

This leads me to the question. I would like to know which will be more forgiving for the binge. The Xanax or the valium? Those are the only 2 I have access to. I'm planning on taking 1 0.5mg 3x daily. In the early morning, around lunch and at 6pm. That was the dosage schedule for the Xanax. But I'm sure it'll have to be adjusted if I were to take valium instead.

The concerta is to keep me going because the weed, booze and benzos take a toll and I usually comatose. I know 54mg is a hefty dose but im already hellbent on taking it so my liver may be able to produce some Ethylphenidate :D. Was planning on taking the concerta in the morning so it can last throughout the day but I'm sure it will leave me very anxious and possible insomia may be induced so this is why I have the benzos. I could also take some Ambien to knock me out in the night but I'm trynna keep the goodie back cheap:). Ambien's expensive here.

Side note; I do know the dangers associated with uppers and downers and with benzos n booze. Every precaution to avoid blackouts will be taken as you can see I'm not planning on even taking much pills with me. Last time the prob was I turned into a demon and was swallowing those pills like a pornstar swallows sperm. And ignorantly snorting the shit like I was ODB or some stupid fool haha. RIP to ODB tho.

Any advice on dosing will be appreciated :).

I forgot to add that I have no tolerance to any if these drugs. Besides weed and booze(cross tolerance with benzos is negligible) I don't drink much.

I also find Xanax to be somewhat amnesia inducing, which is why I'd opt for Valium.

The duration of the effects of Xanax and Valium are pretty much equivalent, both are ~4-6 hours. Do not mistake their half-life duration for their duration of action.

I'd do the opposite. Valium has a long half life and the effects might stack up. Also alprazolam is much better as sleep aid / anti-anxiety.

But what relevance does Valium's half life have to do with anything? Their duration of action is pretty much the same. Though the onset of action of Xanax is ~30 minutes compared to Valium a ~60 minutes.

At an equipotent dose, I don't think your second assertion is true either.

i prefer the effects of valium... it's more relaxing....

I agree :)

For me, I find Xanax more useful for panic attacks as it tends to hit harder faster. But for general anxiety, I find diazepam is a better relaxant.

I'll go with the valium as well. I find it provides a much more comfortable, social and smooth relaxation. When I take valium I tend to have a relaxing afternoon of comfortably talking to friends or chilling out with a book/movie and the occasional cigarette. When I take xanax I tend to mostly take more xanax, then more xanax, then do stupid things and end up injured, embarrassed, angry at myself or just losing a few hours of my life in a blackout. It also produces a much more visible intoxication, stumbling, slurred speech, etc.
