Opioids Short-acting opioids WD timeline

One of my biggest problems during WDs is sympathetic nervous system overstimulation.
Fast heart rate, blood pressure, anxiety. Really annoying and not very healthy. I know clonidine can help, but I have no access to it.
Anybody know alternatives? I have beta blockers.

2 weeks perfectly ok

Day 1-3 psychological hell, miserable, low energy, depression, sad, etc
Day 3-7 Horrid Nightmare, the worst experience you can imagine, like 50 flues, freezing cold, hot,
Day 7-10 tapering off
Day 10-14 normal sets back in physically.....mentally still very vulnerable

MUST.....go to family doc, walkin clinic, etc......tell them full story and you need specific meds so you don't go buy drugs again which you can easily do as dealer keeps calling you

Clonidine 0.1mg tablet A MUST - 3 daily, 1 week......then 2 daily.....2nd week.....then 1/2 tablet 2 daily, 1/2 b4 bed
Pregabalin 150mg capsules morning and 3h after dinner (must be fasted state/empty stomach) 1.5h peak
Diazepam 5mg (lucky if u get) 1morning 1 night......second week 1/2 morning and night
Cannabis Indica low dose after 2nd week

Even Kranton or Codien-Contin 200mg ....Tramadol is amazing.....weak opioid 1/10th Morphine but antidepressant NET / SERT increase

Mild dopaminergic stimulant.....like Ritalin 5mg would be a God send + Tramadol

Ritalin 5mg
Tramadol 100mg
Pregabalin 150mg
Diazepam 5mg....all 4 drugs taken at once on an empty stomach. 45min onset - 1.5h C-Max 5-7h duration of relief.

Clonidine 0.1mg an hour before bedtime

Wow......you'd be feeling Sooooo comfortable.....and all low dose weak/safe comfort meds (1-2weeks only)

What can you use instead of clonidine?

Everybody here has summed it up pretty well. Your frequency and dosage are going to play a major role. However, I've met people who said Codeine withdrawal was the hardest thing they ever did

Yep - codeine is surprisingly nasty.

I've noted that not all opioids are created equal. Some appear to have a dependence liability far higher than their analgesic activity would suggest.

Oxycodone would be one example. It does have certain advantages such as high oral bioavailability but I think it's more dependence-forming than an equipotent dose of morphine.
