Shooting with puddle/toilet/etc. water?

people don't shit in the reservoir in the back of the toilet.

think about it, people touch the faucet after they've done their business in the bathroom so i'm sure there are just as many germs on the faucet handle as there is in the reservoir of the toilet ... the reservoir is all clean water, coming from the same source as the sink, etc.. like someone else said.

not that i advise this type of behavior or anything.. just my $.02 ... i would never inject dirty water into my veins.. if i were to shoot , it would only be bottled water. even in a desperate situation, it isn't that hard to get clean water..

What makes you think that bottled water doesn't contain any bacteria? Granted there's not much chamce of finding pathogens in bottled water, but the only way to be totally sure is to boil the water (or otherwise sterilize) the water beforehand to kill any bacteria present (viruses are a bit more resilient - hep B requires 30 mins of boiling - but they don't find their way into bottled water).

If you've just spent a lot of money on drugs, but can't go as far as buying some water to use for injection, but instead resort to puddle water/toilet bowl water etc. then you really need to examine what you're doing (ie being a fuckwit miser) - if you're that desparate to die you don't need the drugs in the syringe, just muddy water.

Anybody even thinking of reasons why you had to use one of the above mentioned polluted/dirty water sources, don't bother as there are none (& you qualify as a f***wit)

im calling out the OP for bullshit

I really hope that is the case, but he's still around today with no ill effects, so I guess he got away with it - as long as he doesn't hazard himself to it again!

The rationalization that toilet water and faucet water is the same is wrong. When you flush the toilet, not all of the water goes down - a large percentage of it just floats back up. Think of it as the toilet backing up, but on a small enough scale so the toilet still flushes smoothly. Yea. Those chunks that you thought you sent to hell? They are still there, in itty bitty pieces you can't see.

Toilets are no fun, nothing about them. Avoid plumbing if you can.

Alot of bottled waters have trace amounts of sugar in them, such as Aquafina. Negligeable when it comes to IVing, but just for your information.

As for references to CR, I don't really see how that is relevant to the subject.

Ok...a cold shot is when you dont boil it. Desparate situation is when you are sick as hell and have spent your last penny on dope and cant afford a bottle of water or a lighter and you're stranded with no access to a bathroom or a private place to shoot up, or you're too sick to walk the half block, to a bathroom. If you dont understand desparate situation you've never been a junky

I will admit to using some nasty sources of liquid...

I have used puddle water (u dont need to tell me thats fucked), and I have also used orange juice. No joke. But please, dont ever do that, its so unhealthy, that only someone in a serious addiction would do something of this nature. (me in the past).

^^haha i think this dude thinks were all stupid, shooting orange juice? you would be dead right now garanteed if you did that, theres no point coming here and lying mate, coz you aint gettin away with it.

i shot with splash water from the bucket next to a filthy toilet in Bangkok in a Buddhist temple public restroom and boiled it in a spoon and shot my shot and that was 1990 or 91 and I
am still
to my own
horror-----
still
alive and well.

That's odd. For some reason I always pictured Buddhist temple restrooms as being fairly clean.

whoever just said that if you shot orange juice you would be dead is total frikin wrong. I, unfortuantly, have ALSO used orange juice to fix a shot. I know i know, not smart but i have done it and i am still alive

Well I've used puddle water before . In the 70's it was much harder to get sterile equipment (hence all the hep c) but when it's 4am and there is nowhere to go , it was the only H2O available. Only did that once though. Used tap water and backs of toilets many times.

Have used water straight out of toilet (back in the 70s) but normally used tapwater. Have dug a rig up out of a garden, sellotaped tip back on and used. Have used antique blunt rig from WWII.

I guess that most of the posters (judging by their ill-informed comments) on here are still schoolchildren funded by wealthy parents who have no idea what a fully-blown habit can do for you.

I've seen what some people will resort to (like a 20ml barrel, just drop 8 physeptone - 5mg methadone - in, suck up hot water, shake then inject. All that particulate shit going into your circulatory system) and if you've reached the point where you're using puddle water for a hit, you're at the point where you don't really care about your life anymore (getting to that point with a huge habit is another indicator). All I'm saying is, if you've reached the stage where your total existance is purely to feed your habit, your life isn't a consideration.

Personally, I don't know how people can let their habit get that out of hand that they have to resort to some of the shit posted above. For me, it reached a certain point & I knew I had to do something about it (so I did - tapered and got myself clean) - you reach a point where you step back, look at what you're doing and say "no more"
