shooting with epipen

thats what i figured, is it like how a normal syringe works inside?

No. Even if you were able to cut off the outer housing without accidentally injecting yourself with epinephrine, I don't think the syringe inside would be usable, let alone safe for IV use. It doesn't have a normal plunger, for one - you wouldn't be able to register to determine if you had hit a vein and it can only inject a set volume of liquid. Don't try it. It's also not worth destroying your Epi-Pen over. If you absolutely can't get some regular insulin syringes why not administer whatever drugs you were planning on using by a different route.

More importantly why? This does not sound like fun however i get the idea of having the experience, at least once.

I did ephedrine in stupid doses because i was stupid when i was a kid and it was fun chasing mailmen down the road with spade in rage and glee, but its not worth it in retrospect. I will say the head tingles are cool though.

^Are you confused? ;)
They just wanted to know if they could dismantle an Epi-Pen and use the syringe inside to inject whatever their drug of choice is because they don't have any proper syringes.

Yeah, i was in fact wondering about your response lol thus i felt the need to balance things out a bit lol. In retrospect the OP was a bit vague but i guess I would think the shooting up was meant for the epi since I have wondered what that would be like.

On the danger, is it just plain ephedrine but in larger dangerous doses? We did 5 full 00 caps of pure pharmacy ephedrine crystal once and it wasnt fun. Glad im alive, stupid kids. Nasty shit though.

Edit: I wont change my post above but rather say i misread epinephrine for ephedrine, soz. I need to look up the differences...

Epi pens are epinephrine, also known as adrenaline.

It is a wholly unpleasant experience being stuck with one of those things. The story is always the same. Your heart races and you get overtones fo pure fucking terror for about a minute. You get a deer-in-the-headlights look on your face. Then you wonder why you bothered. Nobody ever finds it pleasurable or fun.

By the way, epipens are made for intramuscular injection. The needle is the wrong kidn to use in a vein, and is not exactly adaptable for other drugs as they are one- or two-use things.
