Sorry, but you are wrong.
Heroin should not be cooked, as it leads to the cut being able to be absorbed and enter the shot. Ask most experienced people who use heroin and they will explain that cooking heroin is not a good idea.
It's not my personal preference, it's a well stated fact.
Additionally, in terms of pills you should never cook them. If you can find someone that doesn't agree with me and thinks it's a safe idea to cook pills before shooting please have them explain why I am wrong.
Hey man, before you go ranting at other people I suggest you do your homework first.
First off you're only half right about not cooking heroin, and the same goes for cocaine. As Captain H mentioned, you heat tar to raise the solubility of the drug in water. A small amount of heat isn't going to hurt when not using an oral formulation as most of the cut are sugars and other inert substances.
In North America we commonly use heroin HCl and cocaine HCl. Not all of the world has these product available; actually, most of the world uses base heroin which has to be re-acidified before you can make it soluble in water to any extent. Most choose to use citric or ascorbic acid, but a few will use acetic acid in dilute form--vinegar. When this is the case heat is also added to speed up the process in creating the--cocaine/heroin--acetate/ascorbate/citrate salts.
But, you are right by stating we don't bring it to a rolling boil and let it sit there for long periods, if that is in fact what you meant to say (which I will assume).
Not trying to flame you, but those are more "well-stated facts" than what you were sending out as legit information. OP I hope you get the chance to read this, as it is in the name of harm reduction

Maybe I'm just nuts, but this sounds like a situation where someone kills themself. you have no idea how much you're even getting and are going to base how much you inject off of what someone tells you here? What if they're wrong?
Use your common sense man, the guy wasn't asking you for the exact amount of active ingredient in his purchase, at least I didn't read that part. He was asking how much he should be getting by weight, regardless if there is a drug in it or not, that is another ball game. Don't be a smartass and give the guy a straight answer, he's only trying to learn to make himself more aware--at least I hope, but it sure sounds like it. A 30 could range anywhere from 0.15 to 0.30 grams, dude. Take care and be safe. Remember there is no quality control on this shit, it could be anywhere from 0-99.9% active substance. Test shots!!! Anywho, have fun, brother.
