Shooting multiple pills without a micron filter

Would filtering a shot of dilaudid and oxycontin (4mg and 20mg) through a cotton filter twice make any difference as far as getting rid all the nasty pill binders?

assuming I scraped of out the outer coatings of these pills pretty thoroughly.

well, im pretty sure most of them are either to small and most of them are water soluble for even the smallest micron filters but im not to sure. but filtering the oxy should get some of the gunk out of there.

pill binders u cant really get rid of without a very fine micron filter most dont even do the job from wat i read, there are some nasty ingredients in the extended release mechanism of oxy, wax, some others they are ur main prob, also, talc

unless you can get generical oxys that don't have the wax you shouldn't IV them at all

generic oxys r worse wtf r u talking about? the footballs are peices of shit that only work parachuted.

how the hell do u get pure oxy powder w/o any fucking fillers or adulterants i dont think even the finest clandestine lab could make 100% oxy or hydromorphone

Filtering twice can make a difference.
What you could also do is preparing the solution in a cup/spoon, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then filter it through cotton from the top of the cup/spoon, cause the insoluble binders will have fallen at the bottom.
You can get a very pure crystalline solution sometimes this way (depending on the pills you prepare, of course...)

Using a micron <.22 will certainly help. It will not get rid of all of the binders/filters, but it can rid of most, if not all, of the bacteria that may have gotten in your shot. Using a micron certainly won't hurt you and it won't mess with your yield.

Jason brings up a good point. If you don't have a micron, filtering twice will help.

Also, if you're interested in a better readily available filter, you could use coffee filters. You just have to stack them in a syringe and push the solution through them. Sort of like a French press. Coffee filters are around ~15 microns I believe. I posted a study on it in a different thread.

^Thanks for the previous posts, they were all very helpful

I'm thinking about using coffee filters the next time I do this, I'll check out the other thread. I'm still alittle confused on how to use it to filter.

You really only need to use the Whatman Puradisc (aka Wheel Filter) that is 1.0 um. The 0.22 um filter clogs too easily and the majority of scientific opinion is that any particle under 1 micron is insignificant (the FDA and USP do not consider any particles less than 1 micron when discussing turbidity and safety). If you do not have a wheel filter, with Dilaudids anyway, I suggest heating the powder in water and drawing it up into a syringe (the days of Knoll's Hypodermic Tablet Dilaudid are long gone now that Abbott owns the Dilaudid brand.) After drawing the heated solution into a syringe, turn it upside down and let it cool. The insolubles will collect at the bottom of top of the syringe (the needle is the bottom or the money end.) Then carefully, remove the plunger from a second syringe and push the liquid from the first into the second. Now you have a syringe virtually free of insolubles. Whatever you do, do not do a back of the rigg cold draw like the Knoll Dilaudid would allow. Dilaudid (by Knoll) were the very last hypodermic tablets made, and changed quickly after they were sold to Abbott by Knoll under pressure of the DEA around the early nineties.

With OC's most of the generics have become quite difficult to shoot. I can do about 20 of the 30 mg Roxicodone 30 mgs tablets in a 5 cc syringe but most people do not want to use such a large needle. I think a 1 cc syringe is hard to use with OCs or Roxicodones, but a 3cc with a 25 gauge needle is usable. I think if you are doing these occasionally, then not using a wheel filter is fine, but if you do them regularly, then you really need to get some Whatman Puradiscs or the equivalent. You will end up with retinal damage, renal damage and pulmonary damage. People die from this, so it is not trivial (HBO's Autopsy had an episode where the guy died from pulmonary hypertension related to injecting pills.)

Be careful and do it right.

Good episode. His wife was shootin' him up with benzo's.

Are they discussing IV safety? I'd imagine that shootin' micrometer size particles(and smaller) could lead to damage(granulomas, etc) in the long run.

That feels somehow nice to read.
At first I thought it was you who created the thread. LOL
Don't flame me!!!!1 =(

Btw, does anyone have any scientific studies showing the efficacy of regular coffee filters vs cotton balls? I'd like to know those, I might just switch to cotton while I can't get micron filters.

I posted a link to a study about coffee filters and how well they filter. I don't have the link anymore though.

^damn I'd really like to read that, can't you dig it up for me, don't you have the paper saved on your pc or something?

Here's the post:

I think every state in the US now has a way for drug users to get syringes legally. Either through needle exchanges or from a pharmacy.

.45 is typicially considered enough to "clear" a solution of particles, and <.22 is considered enough for bacteria. F&B is right though, .22 will not catch all viruses. I've read a study where HIV made it through.

Interestingly enough, the fibers in a coffee filter are about 20 microns across. They tested its filtration with objects that measured 15-30 microns, and it successfully filtered it all out.

^fucking shit thank you so much phrozen!!!1 i'm gonna read that tomorrow! do you have any comparative studies on coffee filters vs cotton though?
i'm pretty much sure most viruses can make through a 0,22 though.
