I have like 120mgs left out of my Flurazepam script and was thinking about IVing it. I have a very high benzo tolerance (I can take 30-50mgs of klonopin without getting a buzz so...) but I'm wondering how much of the flurazepam I should shoot to get a good buzz or at least a good relief of anxiety (my klonopin was stolen from me so I'm going through hell right now with withdrawal and I'm hoping shooting some of this stuff can help calm me down).

I know shooting pills really isn't too safe, but this would be a one time thing most likely, and anyone with any information regarding shooting flurazepam and how much I should administer would be great. Thanks in advance.

Only shoot it if you want to waste all of it. Benzos are generally not water soluable

Thanks for your post...except you're wrong.

Flurazepam is water soluble, just like midazolam.

I found when 3mg of Dalmane is mixed with 25 units of water, I only get about 12, 13 units back. I found that it's not the most efficient means to take flurazepam.

I haven't tried IVing large amounts of flurazepam, I don't find it to be as effective as orally dosing it. The reason I like flurazepam over most other benzos is because of its long half life and long duration of effects. I would suggest you just orally dose the flurazepam because it works best that way. If you have your heart set on IVing it, I would try a small dose (i.e. 5mg or 10mg at most) and see what you think of it, just in case you're not too terribly impressed.

I have no benzo tolerance and I found 3mg IV flurazepam to make me pretty stumbly.

IMO if you're WDing from clonazepam right now, I would just orally take the flurazepam as it was intended, maybe parachute it for faster effects.

Anyone have any info regarding how much I should IV if I do this since my benzo tolerance is very high (been on klonopin and other benzos for over 5 years now)? I want to shoot it but I don't want to over do it or under do it because I barley have any left. Please someone give me some advice here.

To be honest man, I have no idea.

According to wikipedia, flurazepam has a bioavailability of 83%. This means, when taken orally, you already get 83% of the flurazepam. IVing will get you 100%, so if you normally orally consume 30mg, you might want to try 24mg (If you split a 30mg capsule into 5 piles, 4 of those piles would be 24mg) as that would be an equipotent dose.

However, I have never tried IVing so much flurazepam (only 3mg), so I can't say that this is a smart idea, or that it's feasible or going to work.

With the inactive ingredients which eat up some of the water you put into it, it's possible you might even get less out of the flurazepam trying to IV it than you would orally consuming it. With this being said, I really have no idea. When I IV'd 3mg, it resembled the effects of orally consuming 5mg or so. It's hard to say, it doesn't last as long, and it's not as easy as parachuting some.

If I were you, I would just parachute it. If you still want to IV it, be careful and let me know what you think. I personally thought parachuting it was just as effective.

^^Thanks for the tips but I still am skeptical on how much to IV. I can easily take a shit load of flurazepam without really getting my anxiety relief that's why I want to IV it. I think I could iV the whole 120mgs and be fine, but I would rather have someone verify with me that I'd be okay. You said you shot up 3mgs and that's equal to like nothing really, it's a spit in the ocean. I mean the capsules I have are 30mgs each, and I have taken a bunch of them at once without feeling anything at all really, maybe a tiny bit of help for my anxiety but nothing much. So that's why I'm thinking IVing it should help me out a lot, and help me sleep tonight.

Please if anyone has any information I could use it asap because I know I'll end up IVing it all probably before getting a good answer on here and I'm kind of afraid without being told more about it.

Any help what so ever is VERY welcome.

Thanks.

There have been a few other threads that inquired about IV flurazepam over the years, and none of them had really solid answers. I have actually used the search engine on this one, and didn't find much to be honest.

I would guess your best bet is to take some diphenhydramine hcl, and some doxylamine succinate, and 30mg to 60mg of flurazepam (orally). Then again, I've never been in benzo withdrawal (just heroin withdrawal...lucky me...)

Plus, some white grapefruit juice might help a little. I can't say definitively whether it does or not due to its already high bioavailability, but if it does prevent its metabolization, it might help.

I've been through heroin withdrawal myself and benzo withdrawal at the same time, and let me tell you it's the worst fucking pain imaginable. You can't stop moving in your bed, but at the same time you're so tweaked out from the opiate withdrawal you don't know what to do with yourself and you want to blow your head off since your so anxious and it wont go away... ahh horrible fucking times in my life. I hope to never experience both again... well I am right now because I'm weening off of suboxone while I'm out of my klonopin so I guess I am feeling it a bit right now but nothing near what it was back when it was complete cold turkey from both opiates and benzos.

^ well, then if you do IV the flurazepam, you're just shooting yourself in the foot by making it even harder for the benzos to provide adequate relief in the future, right? The bioavailability of flurazepam is so high (~90% orally according to MIMS) that IV isn't worth it, and IMO when you;re shooting stuff with BA that's as high as that, you're only doing it to get high. If you need relief, take it orally.

If you have any suboxone left over, you might want to take a tiny bit of that.

Benzos + suboxone has pretty good synergy, and it might help with the clonazepam withdrawal.

However I can understand the desire to be opiate-free and the desire to not move backwards within a taper schedule, so if you don't want to take any more buprenorphine or don't have any more, that's understandable.

Have you tried doxylamine succinate?

They are OTC sleeping meds, but they're pretty effective in putting onesself into sleep. Definitely more effective than diphenhydramine.

No I haven't but maybe I'll give it a try sometime soon.

Well I wouldn't mind a high from it (although I doubt I'll get one even from 120mgs of flurazepam). Plus if I'm high I'll be relieved of the anxiety... I'm just trying to make the best out of how much I got left until my next script of klonopin and flurazepam comes in anyway.

Do you think 120mgs would be alright? I was searching google and I saw something about 2-4mgs/kg of flurazepam as a perimeter, but I don't know what the circumstances were as the site was messed up. But believe it or not I weigh about 137 pounds which is roughly 60 some kg which 2mgs/kg would equal 120mgs flurazepam. So it sounds about right, what do you think?

Flurazepam is a partial agonist, unlike most other (if not all other) benzodiazepines. So, I'm not sure if taking 120mg will yield 4x the effect 30mg would, or not. I have no idea.

I read a post where someone indicated when they take more flurazepam than a single capsule, it tends to "kill their benzo buzz", something to that effect. I don't know if taking more flurazepam than 30mg would antagonize the receptor, or what. I tried googling and all I see are generic sites that look exactly like wikipedia's flurazepam article.

So...I don't know. I know of someone who took 60mg of flurazepam, probably slept in a little bit, but that's about it from what I understand.

You have a large benzo tolerance, so I'm sure you'd be all right. However, as far as pharmacokinetics, I'm not sure what will happen.

If anyone has any information about the partial agonist activity of flurazepam, I'd like to know a little bit about this.

I just tried IVing the flurazepam. First I tried 60mgs diluted in sterile water and it was a goopy mess and I eventually got like 60 units of liquid into the syringe but there seemed to be a lot of left over crap, and I'm sure some of it was the flurazepam. I then did this again with the last two remaining capsules and I couldn't get it to suck up into the syringe so I didn't even bother to do the second shot. I was very much disappointed with all this I was hoping to get a little buzz possibly or at least feel the effects of the benzo itself, which I think I may be feeling but it's very subtle. Oh well now everyone else who ever wants to know what shooting flurazepam is like on a larger scale can understand how it works. The liquid is just too thick (even after adding tons of water) and when I was using my filter it just wouldn't filter through enough to actually go into the syringe. It was a waste but it's okay I should be fine tomorrow if/when I get my klonopin script refilled. Thanks for all the replies everyone, I appreciate it.

Sorry to hear that. I'm glad you're at least feeling some relief. If you still have the flurazepam dissolved in water, you can still drink it for effect.

I'm pretty sure some of the stuff left over in the crap is flurazepam too, but it's hard to say how much it is and how much got absorbed in the water.

You should feel the effects of the benzo for sure; flurazepam is a bit subtle at first but it'll grow on you.

Good luck with the prescription refill, I hope things work out for you. Most doctors understand that meds get stolen, and most won't mind re-writing a script once.

However, people are scum and there's more than just one person out there willing to swipe meds (and plenty of people who would be willing to do it more than once to someone) - so I advise getting a safe and a chain and padlock (obviously to chain the safe to something and padlock it so it doesn't magically grow legs and walk off) to hold onto your medications.

Even for medications that aren't psychoactive - this is a good idea. There's plenty of retards who would really swipe anything thinking it might get them high. I don't know your personal situation to know whether it's feasible to have this set up or not, but either way you don't want to have your re-prescribed meds re-stolen on you, so if you don't know who took them, it's strongly advised you invest in security measures (a safe, or a hidden video camera/surveillance equipment, or both), because while most doctors will re-prescribe stolen meds once, they often won't do it again.

Some doctors warn about the likelihood about meds being stolen, others don't. And some doctors won't tell you they won't re-write scripts that have been stolen...until it happens to you...I'm sure if I told my doctor my pills were stolen he'd tell me there's nothing he can do. I'm not 100% sure, but pretty close to it.

This only furthers my point that legalizing drugs would help stop a lot of shit that doesn't need to happen - if people didn't need to steal fucking klonopin of all things, then they could just go to a 7/11 and buy a bottle of kpins themselves for way cheap.

The war on drugs forces people to go to doctors for drugs they know are necessary for their sanity/survival/etc, and it forces other people who just want said drugs for a high to steal/illegaly acquire said drugs from people who are either willing and selling their meds or unwilling and just jack it from them - which is fucked up.

empty capsule int syringe (remove plunger) and draw water into it. itll mix in there. 30mgs wont disslve fully in 1ml f water but if u shake it up as best u can, use a 2ml barrel and bang it quick it can be done. No real rush but hits u stronger.

In Ireland they like to add a dally (dalmane flurazepam capsule) into a turn on with herion. Mega goof.

That's horrible though; you really need to be filtering with something like a flurazepam capsule. Without filtering (ideally with a micron), this is really bad for your body.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread but I had to clear up something.

I was under the impression that the white powder inside dalmane (flurazepam) capsules is pure flurazepam powder. Obviously I know now that this is not the case. I just thought that while it was water soluble, its actual solubility level in water was pretty low. (I also did not know that fluraz was a partial antagonist, thanks CH).

This been known I would not recommend shooting flurazepam capsules. It might be worth it if you had pure powder, it would help reduce the overly long half-life at least!
There is a "rush" if you could call it that, but personally even banging 30-60mg wasnt really enjoyable at all.

Hope this clears up my previous post. There really isnt a lot of info out there about flurazepam, especially IV.

Edit: Just found this after a google search. I will NOT be banging dalmane again...

Inactive Ingredients: Each 15 mg capsule also contains cornstarch, lactose,
magnesium stearate and talc

I've had capsules of the japanese flurazepam 15mgs. I shot full 15mg and I've shot like 5mg....lemme just say to anyone tempted....plz don't waste ur time. This drug is absofuckinglutely pointless to IV. My advice---sniff it, if ur that opposed to just swallowing. Maybe it'll help if u want to shorten the half life which is up to I think 250 hrs. Personally I found this drug taken in any way to be rather disappointing, it didn't really help me stay asleep, did have a hangover feeling, honestly it felt like a more subtle ativan that had mild background effects that came and went over the few days I took it. Btw I hate ativan the most.
