A friend had some 1:1000 ampules of Adrenaline which a few of us decided to try IV. We diluted it 0.04 - 0.06ml with the rest water in a 1ml syringe. This actually had quite a nice effect, contrary to this comment. A few shakes and giggles and generally feeling nice, alert and reading for anything. One person had had it before and found it pretty bad, but that was because it was too strong and she was too quick banging it.
A nurse I speaking to later said it was very dangerous, and although 2 people there knew CPR and had proper training it wouldn't have helped. What should be done if someone is having a bad/strong reaction to it? I've had a read of this thread and a few others, but can't find the answer.

I agree...if it was really any good, it would be controlled. Maybe you should stick to inhaling Primatine mist...No risk that comes along w/injection, yet you still get the quick burst of energy. On second though, you should probably stay away from epinephrine all together. That is, unless you have a valid need for it.

hmmm....well okay then. Grand Master, what is Primatine?
cobz, though I have seen a couple of comments on this board about oxidising adrenaline, I'm a little paranoid about it. If there's anything left, we just chuck it.
PhreeX: noted. Don't think I will have it again anyway but my friends will. I don't recommend anyone take anything, but if they do I would like them to be as safe as possible. As it hasn't been answered, I'm guessing a shot of benzos (or opiate?) would settle them.

Primatine Mist Inhaler contains epinephrine.
Adrenalin is a brand name of epinephrine.
The only recreation value epinephrine has is that you might get an IV morphine drip for pain when you go to the ER because of a heart attack. Of course, if you have a stroke or go into cardiac arrest, you don't get any morphine (you just die).
I could draw you a picture...

i let someone inject me with his adrenalin but it just gave me the shudders as far as i remember. it was passed its use by date by like a month but does that make any difference? it was enough for like an allergic reaction to a beesting or somthing.

Anyone ever see Epipens? They are preloaded self injecting syringe devices filled with a dose of epinephrine that they give to people with severe allergies. In the event of anaphalactic reaction, the person slams the pen onto their thigh or arm, and it auto injects. They should make Smacko-pens...What a beautiful world if could be.

I was just going to mention the Epipens - if you go to your family doctor and simply ask for one they will give you a script, you can just say you seem to get stung be a bee each year and because you're so alergic it's good to have one on hand .. trust me, the stuff isn't of any recreational value...
I will have to hack one of those Epipens and see if the drug can be removed and the syringe/barrel/ampule .. not that one of those things would really be usefull for any illicit drug, but it would be damn neat to have one loaded with something like meth or ketamine (remember it only works for IM) ..
