Hey, I was looking for input from people on the duration of their high when injecting oxy (IV) vs. snorting. I feel like the high is considerably shorter when shooting, but of course more intense as opposed to the longer high of snorting. What are your opinions? With other drugs, (heroin, etc.)?

heroin last for me anyway abotu 4 hours iv'ed never tried it IV but i know when I smoked it once it lasted like an hour tops, really a fuckign waste imho

Better, shorter high shot. Why anything less? It's about how you feel. Why feel good when you can feel great? And I prefer the shorter duration, but they may be because I've IV'd so much.

Yes it will. But the chemical in question has a large part to do with it as well.
Such as acid will be exactly the same shot or oral, however marijuana will be different eaten or smoked, and coke different if shot or snorted.
Not sure on H, but I'm sure there is a difference.

I find with heroin atleast the difference between the quality and power of the effect when snorting or shooting bigger than the increase, if there even is one, of duration with snorting.
I shoot x heroin at 5, then I'll be higher two hours later than if I snorted, same with 4 hours after.

I noticed IV heroin stayed with me less than if I snorted. It could have to do with the step stones of addiction though.

I find it to be the opposite, at least I always hate myself for my harm-reduction if I snort dope after two hours.

what is the equivalence of for example 100mg of H IV to snort? how more i should snort to get the same feeling?

I think its maybe 30-40% more. Thats why I keep saying that I prefer IV even for duration, I use the same amount either way....... I buy a bag, or two. I take it all, and benzos depending on the dope high, then take the bus home. If I bring more with me I'd go back sooner next time

in poland we have bags around 100-200mg each, i'm also an alcoholic and benzo addict...

No, it will not. The duration of the so called "rush" will be effected but that is related to onset of effects, not total duration. A substance has a definite half life. That half life is not effected by mode of administration.
I will try and break it down for you: IF you inject a bag of heroin you will feel a rush, followed by a long nod, and the experience ends in about 3 to 4 hours. If you insufflate that bag, there will be no "rush," you will get a long nod also, and the effects will last from 3 to 4 hours. You see, you are confusing two different issues. A substance is not excreted any faster because you take it one way as opposed to another.

No, but the extra time it takes to come on makes it seem so. You have another hour before you need more if your addcited. Also there is always soem dope left in the nose a long time after your high and you sniff and whoa a little more gets in you. That may make it last longer too...maybe.
Im for the IV though, more gets there and well thats all I need to know, ad dthe rush and I don't need more arguements.

The only thing I've ever shot is oxy. I start coming down 2-3 hours (from a really hard nod).
My perfered method is plugging or eating a good dose and then when it kicks in shooting enough to hit a good nod. Even though I've only shot it once, its intensity over duration.

I have noticed that I dont get a rush from snorting but it last much longer than shooting. The rush from shooting is incredible though! I dont recommend trying it if your enjoying your dope by snorting it. If your shit is good enough to just snort a 10 bag and get really fucked up, I would stay with that. The power of the shooting addiction is 5x worse IMO. You start withdrawling in less than 24 hours if you shoot more than a bag a day and it is much more intense.

i've found that IV cocaine last much longer and is much more powerful than snorting. plus no chemical drip, the down side is that you'll want to do ALOT of shots in a single night, which is bad, on the plus side IV coke or crack feels like rolling to me(for about 15 minutes)
IV heroin is the best way to go, unless it's mad shitty dope and will clog your needle. snorting will make the high last longer but heroin is made for IV'ing

Administrations typically associated with more intense feelings and a rush generally have shorter durations. IV is *arguably* the same as smoked, which are generally shorter than snorted, which are generally shorter than if eaten.
However, I posted examples in my post about chemicals that follow are like that, and some that are not.
The only experience I have with H is IV'd, so I could not tell you how duration works compared to other methods of administration. However, I do know the experience is only 2 hours for myself....

No, that is not my point. Let's try it another way: Every substance has definite physical properties. Every substance has definite physiological responses. Half- life is not variable as per method of ingestion. Heroin will excrete at the same rate regardless of hos it is ingested. Certain variables in subjective effects might make it seem as if the total duration is different but in reality, a person insufflating and a person injecting will both excrete the substance at the same rate. If they are both exceting it at the same rate, there will be no difference in duration of the overall effect. I hope that helps.
