They have danced under
moonless, star-lit skies to
pounding bass,

Pounding rhythm into dust
and raising dust into space.

They have withstood
hails of vomit, traipsed
over broken-glass
and delivered me
into yet another club.

To join other
shoes in discordant dance
and
flirtations of the feet.

I feel that I could expand on this, in fact I intend to...but will chuck it up to get some feedback for the time being :)

I love this! Makes me think of my beloved Kangaroos with my favorite orange shoelaces that have danced at countless parties in the woods, clubs, and other random places...

Please do expand! Maybe personify a bit and talk about your shoes' "anticipation" when they hear a really good beat and how the shoes beg you to dance..or something. Just a thought, hehe

My shoes like to break.
Perhaps because I don't treat them with enough respect, too much thudding, dust, mud, club and fun in them makes them dump me.
They just can't take that much so I cheat on them and have an affair and fall in love with another pair of shoes. Until they die from exhaustion too.

Loved this poem

Brings back a cheesy joke to memory
"Shoes have 'soles' too"

I wish I could create something like that. <3
