Shipping Drugs?

what about sending (a little) bit of weed to a senator, use the return address of a dare officer or something, and cover the package in weed scent and cocaine.. i think it'd be a fun project! put some kiddie porn inside just for kicks. i think i'm gonna do it.

^
Watch that johnny FBI dosn't pull your prints off the inside of the package and pay you a house call.

What about if you are only sending, say, a couple of stamp bags or a gram or two of crystal? Wouldn't this be easier to ship without dogs alerting to it? Only a hypothetical question, of course...

The government has enough to worry about right now with all that's gone on. The post office will likely be unconcerned about your package if it meets the standard packaging requirements. During dry spells, my boyfriend always used to mail me pot, and before he moved to where I am living, he sent his entire stockpile of goodies to my address.
Suggestions: package your goodies in a box, not an envelope, and put something else in there as well. If you're concerned about smell, put your stuff in a jar or bag and drop it in with a can of coffee. Use a return address, but not your own (although in the unlikely event that the package gets lost or misplaced, you'll never see it again). Have everything ready when you go to the post office, have the package properly sealed with good tape - they reseal them if not properly secured. And don't be nervous...

I would think with everyones posts here that the post office and private couriers would be trained to alert on coffee cans by now :b

but if its in a box..... many people send coffe. especially during any holiday . shipping is simple

one more thing.. be careful! if you didnt know may goverment agencys watch this!!!! if you have a specific secret maybe its better that you email it!

Perhaps you could have searched under "mailing".

if ya really feel like wastin the money...
on a more serious note...
your package should be fine!

I saw a bit of bad advice earlier in the thread...
FedEx requires you to set up an account to ship, and you need to give them a credit card now. There is no way to conceal who you are with Fed Ex shipping other than some other pretty major crimes. I do agree that Fed Ex is reliable and the least likely (next to USPS) to get intercepted. But they don't need a warrant to check packages.
Private couriers work great for getting stuff across town. Of course, you have to open an account with most of them and this generally requires some type of identification and a major credit card. When I worked for a courier service we did indeed have a client who used it to send considerable amounts of pot around. However, he was eventually busted for it. Tons of private couriers smoke pot too, and LEO pulled over that driver and smelled what the driver had been smoking and wanted to search. They brought a dog. Courier didn't get arrested, but they nailed the client hard.
As far as oder, you have two problems. When you handle anything that the dogs will hit on the scent gets on your hands and you transfer it to anything you touch. What you want to do is get some latex gloves, a couple newspapers, a couple zip locks, and some glycerin. Put what your shipping in the zip lock, seal it with a layer of glycerin, wash hands, change gloves, set up another newspaper in a different spot. Move the package into another zip lock using the newspaper to handle it. Seal that with glycerin. Repeat again. The best method I've come up with is to send a pair of shoes. Shoes have wadded up paper inside of them when they are new, so you simply put your product ahead of that, and pack the paper in. If they did example it and X-ray it would look pretty normal. You can get prepaid boxes for a given weight from the post office. They sell them under priority mail. Cost a bit more, but ...that isn't the issue. If you know your weight, you'll be fine.
The odds of an intercept are pretty low.
As far as internationale goes. Letters don't have to be approved by US customs coming into the US (yet!). All packages have to clear customs. Customs handles hundreds of thousands of packages a day, and a trillion dollars worth of goods coming in and out in airports, boats..etc They do use dogs to sweep for things occasionally, but it's a hit and miss thing. They don't have enough manpower to get everything. Make it look normal, take precautions against scent, use quality shipping materials and don't get excessive with the tape. I've gotten stuff in the mail from several countries in Europe, shipped in film cannisters, VCR tapes, and even in a plain ol' mason jar. There isn't much sneaky you can do that customs hasn't already seen. People have tried literally everything from hollowed out boards in packing crates, to actually compressing drugs into the shape of the item to be used. (Candles get stopped every time for this reason). As far as what they do when you send something out of the US to another country ...that's anyones guess. Customs does a pretty good job, so it's risky. They are looking for a lot more things than drugs.
Oh, one thing.. If you are shipping internationally make sure you have a valid address that matches the name on the package. They do check that. And don't do anything stupid like stick an address from a country other than where it's actually mailed from on it.

Psilocybic mushrooms can't be smelled by drug dogs.

dogs smell what they are trained to smell...
so first at all they can smell common drugs.. weed is the first step in the training, because it have strong scent.
i know that because i bought my labrador retriever in police dog training center and i know many instructors from there

i don't know if this is reliable or not, but i heard if a dog smells crushed red pepper, it fries his sense of smell. if you could find out whether or not that was true, pack your shit in that...

SWIM sent some kiff powder (crystals from a weed plant) from Amsterdam to England. We just got a birthday card and sellotaped the weed to the inside then sent it off. It was received in England no problem :)

What about vials of dissolved soluble substance. For instance your favorite injectable...diluted at a known amount just suck up the correct number of ccs and you are good.
Would this make it more or less likely to be alerted to provided you didn't ship it in something stupid that would break. Anyone know about the alcohol shipping laws (I know those are werid and complicated like can't ship through NY).
If some civicly minded subset of people started shipping loose packets of say capsican (or some strong spice) would this interfere sufficently with the dogs ability to alert? I mean if it were cats people could start sending packs of catnip around and pretty soon they might just give up.
LSD won't be alerted on b/c there is just no fucking way it could be detected via smell at reasonable doses. If it wasn't for the fact that production was so difficult (it is estimated that most of the US supply comes from like 6 producers in bay area SF) it would be fucking everywhere.
Also the question about impurities is quite important. It may very well be pure d-amphetamine is odorless but dogs are trained to alert to RP/I left over, or ammonia or whathave you. In these cases a simple wash with acetone might save your ass.
Finally if, as it seems, US mail is so safe why are there drug delivery runs (for instance they stop black guys driving vans up the east cost as they are profiled as deliveries for drugs entering in through florida)

a friend of mine worked at purolater and came across a package that smelled of coffee with a B.C. return address.
Needless to say, he took it home and the party was at his place for the next couple of weeks.

I guarantee dogs can smell MDMA. Shrooms might be different, but the fact is, if it smells like anything unusual it is possible that some dog will bark at it as it passes by.
Friend who works at Fed Ex let me know that dogs have indicated some strange things, even packages with nothing unusual at all.
So...it is a good idea to use UPS, first off, and secondly, make sure the packeage is not readily identifiable if it is opened.
I have actually had a package opened and inspected and passed right to me, because the packaging was intelligent.

Wrong. They smelled mine. Think about it. Those things are so smelly, even *I* could find them if you were holding.
