Shelf life of test kits?

Anybody know the effective shelf life of the kits?
I have a Marquis reagent test bought from DanceSafe. Just wondering how long it will last in a cool, dark place..?

opinions differ on this. one thing for sure is if the solution has gone brown, it's best to get a new one.
we try and use as fresh solution as possible when testing at clubs etc. if you can afford to get a new kit every three to six months, you will be assured of reliability.
