How long will acid stay "good" and active? The acid I will be getting probably be dropped onto candy but I want to save it for about a week or so.

so if it will last, how should I store it? Is there any conditions I shoud avoid?

But is it in a vile? How are you storing it, I heard to keep it in foil in the refridgerator.

its on blotter. i keep it in tin foil, in a plastic bag.. in a cool, dark, and dry place.

A glass jar would be better than a plastic bag as plastic lets air through.

ismene, word to that, i use

I've kept it in foil too in a cool place in a jar and it was still good after a year! I always wonder about the freezer...is It a good Ideaa to store it in the freezer ?

What about if it is liquid acid drop which has been dropped on to sweets?

Do you know fruit pastiles and wiggly worms its been dropped onto them and wrapped in cling film.

How long will it stay good for?

This calls to mind the way people always advise never letting tap water near LSD, which contains, as a result of chlorination, things like hydrochloric acid, hypochlorous acid, Chlorine atoms or hydrogen and hypochlorite ions, in minute but tasteable quantities. Any food manufactured with tap water might have the same effect on the delicate molecules... though I guess the most reactive things in sweets would be bicarb, tartaric acid, citric acid and so on. I don't know what effect that would have on LSD (but might it be slowed down by storage in the freezer?)

Fruit pastilles are pretty acidic, based on their taste, though I am not sure what bearing that would have.

If you take the storage factors into consideration keeping it away from heat/warmth and moisture, air and light then it can stay good for a pretty long time.

There really isn't a standardized shelf life like you can get with milk from the supermarket.
Even milk and other groceries depend on if you put it in the fridge or freezer or in the baking sun.

So... there is no single answer, there is a range and there is guesstimation.

Oh something like citric acid on candies should be no problem, I heard from people who put it on such things and had no problem.
Still I would ask myself why it is not put on an as much inert carrier as possible. ;)

A couple weeks ago I had a 5 strip of some blotter. I didn't really know about storing it and I brought it in my pocket on the plane and after that left it on a desk with a lamp 8 inches away pointed directly at it for a good 8 hours. I was convinced I ruined it until I took, man was I wrong, I tripped BALLS :)

i wonder whats the most anyone ever kept blotter? mine is stored in a cool room away from heat and light, low humidity, with no discernable loss for the past 2 1/2 months (its not much at all i know...)

Im too lazy to look for it but there is a big thread on the subject
I actually started the same thread and it got merged
anhow - one dude in there said he had some last 7 years?, a could guys were over 2 years
I have persaonally gone about 1 1/2 years with the method above and it was fine.
You will lose a bit of potency but treat it with love and it will do the same
Dont open it up every couple weeks to say hello either..wrap it up and leave it

I had a friend that gave me a hit he had been keeping for 8 years and it was still bomb...if you keep it cool, airtight, and away from UV rays, there should be no degradation. I heard a couple years ago they uncovered a couple of old Sandoz vials, and the contents had not degraded at all...and thats like 50 years ago.

I have some blotters in a ziplock bag in the freezer for 2.5 years. They are just as potent as day one.

Yup. I got half a sheet around Nov 06. Last time i took them I had expected them to degrade (dont know why, they hadnt before) so i upped my dose and was pretty amazed at how fucked up i was. haha. So yeah, just as good. Mine are in foil in a ziplock in a pharmacy pill bottle, in the coldest, driest part of my freezer, and theyve made the transition through 3 freezers now. Good to go.
