"Sometimes you wish things were just a little bit easier" She said.
"Sometimes the lethal dose is just that little bit too high.
Sometimes even death just seems like too much work.
You can call me lazy if you'd like"

"I act this way because its what people expect" She said.
"I act this way for anonymity in the predictable.
Stop thinking you know whats best for me" She said.
"I dont have to explain myself to anyone"

Ill never understand that girl.
She drives me insane in the most bitter-sweet way.
But I could never let her go,
I live for these stupid games we play.

And when the time comes,
As one day it inevidably must,
Will you be able to leave this all behind?

Time waits for no fool.

Ill never understand that girl.
She drives me insane in the most beautiful way.
But Id never want to let her go,
I love her and these stupid games we play.

"I just want you to help me" She said.
"Make me happy, make me normal"
"Are you really ready to try?" I said.
"No, I dont think I am...."

There's always something that draws us back to that touch of human emotion we can't quite get at in another person. I'd say it has something to do with that metaphysical brickwall that they slap infront of us before we can grab at it.
I suppose it would work for me though; there's a sweet meloncholy comfort just curling up in that ditch we dig for ourselves :)
Safe, isn't it?
Nice piece harasser, great stuff :)

Don't we all...
She's a lucky girl to have someone who cares about her as much as you do - I just hope she realises that.

Nice work Ant, very nice work. I think its kind of trite to say its 'character building' but it is believe me.
I knew a girl like this once, she broke my heart, tied me up in knots. Oh I loved it, and I loved her too, but being taken for a ride isn't much in the way of reciprocity, and so I let her go. Broke my heart, but made me stronger.
Such is life. And again, this is one tidy piece of work.

You tell such good stories, hun. This reads like song lyrics... I'd love to hear the music to go with it.

^^^ Damnit Dagny! You took the words right out of my mouth! You're right, it does read like a song, i was going to post that comment myself. :)
Ant, this piece is as spectacular as the all the others i've read... you always seem to write things that i can completely relate to, and this is no exception - who has never been taken for a ride by someone in whom they trust, or want to trust?
Yay! ANother brilliant piece. :)

how i missed this the first time around is a mystery to me.....
thank you harraser...you've seen me thru many a cracked-out sleepless morning.....
