the sun only shines to make light for the clouds
but you are impervious to gloom
the cold air should freeze whats left of your heart
but you are immune
a smile, your poison, and i gave you plenty
or so i assumed
but i should have known from the moment i saw you
that my heart was doomed

2nd part (i decided to separate this because i actually prefer it to be a separate piece all together. ill let the reader decide if they want to put the two pieces together as one.)
the rain once again
washes sorrow away
all of my woes
have been led astray
my spirits had risen
but only to fall
a thousand feet further
for the cause of it all
you gave me the world
but just for a day
the times were all relative
suffice it to say
there went forever in 24 hours
now i have to pretend
that everything's fine
there's nothing to mend.
