My roommate has his adorable kindergarten daughter this weekend (he has her every other weekend). She is seriously the sweetest little girl ever, so I am making some time to color with her and make something hearty for dinner.

So much change in the last month. I'm so happy to be living in (IMO) the nicest part of downtown Portland. I was really starting to hate life here and wanted to go back to San Francisco full time. I'm now really glad I didn't! I've already met a lot of awesome new people. What a huge change from being trapped in suburbia with several small dogs that piss and shit all over. My building is even green-certified; our 2-bedroom's utilities last month were $15! At some point I may move to a studio in the building so I can live by myself, but this is great for now.

Two of my closest friends who have been fighting for months have said yes to a reunion party this friday. I just hope they stick to the plan because I miss both of them being ok with each other.

One of the gals I do volunteer work with had a contest to win one of her custom hula hoops and I won! While this may not be of any importance to anyone, I've been in poor spirits and equally as poor health as of late. With that, as well as the fact that I never win anything in mind, this glimpse of happiness seemed twice as significant.
