Hey. I was wondering if anyone has ever been to a shaman retreat. I just discovered this one in Peru where they use Ayuasca in their ceremonies. I'm sure it isn't the only one in South America to use Ayuasca. But it seems to be the only one i've discovered so far, that welcomes many visitors, or is there just for visitors. It sounds like a cool idea.

I've read/fantasized about them. Sure does sound cool -- but I'd be wary about the whole thing.

Closest I've done is psychcs at spiritual gatherings/retreats and such. It's enough for me, and I don't have to treck into the forest in a unfamiliar country with someone I don't really know at all.

I always liked the idea of visiting a shaman retreat and being part of their rituals.
However, it seems to be highly dangerous & you never know if you're going to get robbed or not.
Those people live in a totally different world. You could be tripping out and the next thing you know, Mr. Elder Shaman is running your pockets.
I don't know. lol.

Well, The ones i've see. They have pictures of people who were there. And they seem to be having fun. Of course if could all be propaganda. But i'm sure there is a board or site out there where people rate and review these places.

You guy's have to be very careful. It's become a "tourist trap" type thing. These ayahuasca journey's have gotten really popular. Since people put their hands completely into another person they never met, and let that person drug them, a lot of shady shit happens. A lot of the time ayahuasca isn't even used and people have died. People have been left out in the jungle, tripping, with all their possessions gone. People get straight up robbed and left in the jungle. I'm just putting that out there. I'm not saying it doesn't exist or that it's always shady, but a lot of people who tend to go on those trips are a little on the more accepting, over nice, naive type.

WOW! That totally draws me off of it now. I guess you're better off findind some stuff, and just going upstate to a farm or bed and breakfast and tripping there. Lol.
