Shadows of the Darkness

I see the shadows of the darkness
Only the gray skies to bewither
To feel the pain of treachery
And to be conquered by mortal lies

I see the shadows of the darkness
Only to know the pain of the tormented
To hear the screams of abused
And to be scarred by fidelity's brink

I see the shadows of the darkness
Only to feel the adrenaline of my own death
To touch the ashes of my past
And bury my last hopes

I see the shadows of the darkness
Only taste the smoke filtering in my life
To be the demon of my own
And be the fire to my own family

I see the shadows of the darkness
Lost in it's eternal flame
Covered in ash, black as the tar
I am the shadow of the darkness
