have any other male experienced this I'm 19 and maybe a 3-4 months ago my sex drive disappeared, now I don't even have the motivation to release pressure, and when I do I do it begrudgingly. Did this happen to anyone on here around my age or any age?
 
Yes, I've experienced a complete loss of sex drive beginning around 3 years ago. I"m learning how to cope, but my poor girlfriend has a hard time with it. My best advice is to clean up for a while. Weed seems to KILL my sex drive. Find a healthy exercise regiment and eat right. Getting your body/mind clear and motivated can do wonders for you sex drive. Just my 2 cents.
 
I don't ingest drugs beyond LSD on occasion. occasion meaning 3-5 months apart.

It's weird because I was hyper sexual and then I just fell off. I mean seriously ridiculously hyper sexual, I probably had to get of 4 or 6 times a night before I could even conceive of sleeping (which would take me 4 to not going to sleep before school hours), and it was all I thought about. And then nothing.
Now that I think about it, it directly correlates to my whole slope towards being an existential nihilist. Maybe I have just attained some kind of (anti)perverted enlightenment.

I completely relate. I used to be a HORN-DOG. Now I'm in a steady long term relationship with someone who would literally love for me to fuck her every waking moment of the day, and yet I have sex maybe 1nce a week. I've been dealing with a lot of sexual identity issues for some time and have always struggled . It eventually seemed to only make sense that if sex had caused me so much pain and so many problems, the best way to handle it was to neglect it. Let it die so to speak. Sucks though, because I now have a stable healthy relationship with the woman I'm going to spend the rest of my life with, and I can barely draw enough libido out to try and occasionally re-assure my lover that I am attracted to her.
 
This happened to me a few times starting around age 24. People that are really busy and/or under lots of stress really aren't thinkng about sex and may not even have the right kind of hormonal balance because of it too. But, I wouldn't worry about it as long as you are in good health and have yours stress under control. Use this time to do other things in life I guess.

Normal people lacking addictive-type personalities don't stay constantly interested in sex or "other drugs" all their lives.
 
I've been extremely stressed out lately and I'm going through the same thing. Fortunately my girlfriend is amazingly understanding, so it isn't ruining our relationship-- still, it is aggravating when you go from having sex 14 times a week to zilch...
 
Yeah happened with me around 18-20 but i was ingesting alot of psychedelics during that time and i was caught up in some weird superiority of the mind and saw sex as some primitive act of human desire, probably in defense to my own sexual confusion..

Almost 23 now, and while it's a lot higher then what it was.. i believe the stress of no direction in life has taken priority over everything else, and understandably because it's been there for years and its only now that im attempting to address it rather then distract myself with the party lifestyle and drugs. It's been just under a year since i've last had sex.. but i don't think it'll last much longer ;)
 
Stress sometimes has a lot to do with it. My boyfriend is 21 and we are both fairly sexual people, but when he is a full time student and working 20-25 hours a week, he gets super stressed, and then no sex for a while :( kinda sucks but it is a temporary thing for us.

See what is different in your life, what has changed, that does have a lot to do with it.
 
Are you depressed? I'm going to say that, at nineteen, you shouldn't have lost your sex drive yet. I lost mine when I was about eighteen, but I was severely, severely depressed.

I don't have a sex drive now, really, but that's for a whole slew of reasons. :\
 
I'm not anymore depressed than I've always been. Not stressed out either. I'm not very concerned about it it's just weird.
 
I didn't do shit but jack off and sleep for about a year.. I consider that to be a time of low/lack of sex drive. Don't dwell on it, thats the worst thing you can do. Don't jack off at all until the next time you get a chance to fuck. That's what I did, took me 6 months, those 6 months were very clear headed and motivated for me. I got a job, got a truck, lived an average joe shmoe life and then one day I got fucked. I blew the largest load ever and since then I've had no problem fucking/getting boners whenever/being horny when the time is right.

I'm not trying to project myself onto you but if you're smoking a lot, being sedentary and jerking it on the regular a low sex drive can be a side effect, I know from personal experience.

Never had this - it sounds like you may be depressed, even if you say you're no more depressed than you've ever been - it might not have hit you properly yet, it kinda creeps up...that totally fucks with your libido...When I was really down in the dumps my libido was all over the place - twas still there though.

Other than that I have no idea what it could be...do you get morning wood?

(buffnstuff - that's awful...I hope you're taking the piss)

No, I never have.........ive had a strong sex drive & its getting stronger as I get older which is odd, because I thought men were supposed to have less of a sex drive the older they get...........

do you drink a lot? or use opiates?

are you on ssri?
 
Hypersexuality like you describe is a common trait of hypomania or hyperthymia. I don't like the label, but see characteristics of it in myself during my sexual peaks (and the opposite during the valleys). I personally think that the intricacies of the male sex drive and how they relate to moods are just not really understood, however.
