I currently take lexapro for anxiety which has decimated my sex drive. I don't get horny. Not that it's a problem because I don't need to beat off everyday. When I take tramadol, my sex drive goes through the roof yet I still can't get off. What is going on?
 
Hey, i just quit a 4 year oxy habit. When you quit, and go into withdrawals, you have an orgasm at practically anything. Like, if you cross your legs. SO, funny story...this girl decided its a good time to start a challenge with me...where she tries to seduce me, but i have to resist. Every day for the next 3 months, until she lets me have it. She has no idea what my history with drugs is like...
Let's just say its a difficult challenge.
*edit*sorry...also, im a girl. So also! When you are on opiates, you just cant come. Like you can't. It takes forever. Once you quit...different story!

Ill second that, im in a mild stage of addiction, occasional 2-3 per week 2.5 mg hydro per dose. When i started noticeable increase and itd be insane, now back to normal. I should quit for a few weeks and come back

But to your point, opiates always tended to delay climax which IMO was a great benefit to taking small dose
 
If you have a libido now and want to keep using opiates: say goodbye to your sex life.
You can have both for a while, but eventually: sex becomes like washing the pots; not enjoyable and a chore.

There's really no great answer to the question...

"What's going on?"

opiates make it difficult to ejaculate...

For whatever reason, the tramadol is making you able to have sex, despite the lexapro killing your libido.
 
I'm not saying to take anything or anything like that but OxyContin has made me horny whenever I take it and thats an Opiod...

So. very. true.
For men at least. My boyfriend and I were both heavy users. I still had a sex drive..even if it was hard to orgasm. He had no interest whatsoever. Half of the time he couldn't even get an erection. If he was able to manage one it didn't last very long.
It didn't start out that way..but it certainly didn't take long to get to that point.

drdmike -to answer your question..in my personal experience opiates just decrease sensation..making it hard to orgasm. For my boyfriend it killed his sex drive all together..for me it increased my sex drive but I could never get off. The pills don't discriminate what sensations they are numbing...pain or pleasure.
 
Ditto. I use to get horny as shit when my dope wore off. Now - I just want more dope.

However, I was playing around with some ethylphenidate the other night after my dope wore off and had the overwhelming urge to *fap*

The OP is claiming that tramadol is actually enabling him to have sex, not preventing him...The Lexapro is what's fucking with his sex drive..

Low dose opioids can increase the libido in the beginning...It's like "beginner's luck"...I wouldn't rely on it long-term, it won't last long!
 
Yeah, when I was using the weaker or lower-dosed opiates in the early days, they got me horny as fuck, funnily enough; when my use escalated to heavy levels though, I became "skaggy bawled" in the words of Irvine Welsh: I had no sex drive whatsoever, and sex played no part in my life. (And who needs sex when you've got heroin...?)

I'm on bupe now, and it hasn't affected my libido at all, but it's given me a definite loss of sensitivity in the place it counts - the sex just doesn't feel as good anymore, although I last a lot longer. If I'm with a partner who doesn't completely arouse me, the sex becomes a chore tbh, and it's led to a loss of erection on more than one occasion, which is fucking embarrassing.
 
While on Methadone I have actually faked orgasms while fucking chicks just because I knew I wasn't going to cum. Opiates don't take the pleasure out of sex, but they make it hard to bust sometimes. You gotta really be into it. I've found adding a benzo to the mix before having secks tends to help me bust.

Think of it as a positive.
 
tramadol is an interesting pain-killer. It actually acts on seratonin receptors as well. IME seratonin has always increased my sex drive. As with the frustration of still not getting off, I have no experience with this, just wanted to give my 2 cents on one of my favorite nuero-transmitters :)
 
It's been 24 hours since my last tramadol and my sex drive is back to what it was before I started using tramadol or lexapro. In other words, I can finish the job with no issues. However, I am tired as fuck.
