Hey it’s all good having a bit of fun and attention, but I think the only way that you can know if it’s cheating or not in your eyes is to ask yourself, would be do be pissed off if your partner was caught sexting with someone else? How would that make you feel? Another thing, it’s playing with fire…. Hey I think maybe flirting with someone is ok at a push, but if you are getting down and dirty with someone, weather it’s between the sheets or by text, and your partner is unaware then yes it’s cheating. If you have an arrangement where you are both ok with the other doing that then hey! Each to their own. But any deceit even if it is only having a bit of fun on the phone leads to broken trust and that can be enough to ruin a relationship and see that relationship go down the drain. Is sexting worth loosing your partner over? If you don’t care then maybe you need to break things off with your partner because it bloody hurts like hell being lead on when the other person isn’t that into you. It can cause a lot of damage to that person. So it really depends on how committed you are and how much you care about your partners feelings. For me personally, if I caught my partner doing it I’d be F…ed off, maybe rip his hair out or smash his phone! lol!😜 :)
 
Definitely cheating. I thought it to be harmless, but retrospectively i see that i was hurting someone that i was duty bound to love, protect and most importantly respect. We live and learn

I get that, nothing wrong in that scenario. If you and your other half are singing from the same hymn sheet theres nothing deceitful or underhanded there. If one half of a couple is covertly engaging in sexting though its wrong on many, many levels. It matters not if the person is on the other side of the world, its deceitful, disrespectful and its just not right. Once that door is open, trust walks out. Once trust is broken things go south, the line has been crossed and theres no coming back.

Anything is betrayal when it's a violation of relationship agreements or when there's deceit involved. You're not saying anything meaningful here.

The OP asked if sexting in a serious relationship is cheating. Period. No other conditions.

It’s not physically cheating, but it’s definitely disrespecting and betraying your relationship and your partner. It’s being disloyal for sure. I wouldn’t let it slide that’s for sure. I wish a nigga would. Lmao 😝

If i found my partner sexting anyone id be crushed and lose trust but it could still be worked out and repaired with proper care, but if i caught them in bed with another guy, id probably take myself out.

Been there, except I almost took the two of THEM out. Thankfully I didn't and I can enjoy my life prison-free.

As for sexting being cheating: yes, yes it is. Emotional disloyalty is worse than physical disloyalty. Or maybe I'm just soft.
 
No, sorry . Not for me. Neither is flirting or watching porn. For me the definition of cheating is when your genitalia physically makes contact with someone else's without your partners knowledge or consent.

It's just a sexual fantasy like everything else. Go for it

lmao i do something well a lil similar ill flirtt with some girl on the apps right basically looking at it how u explain then they be all into it they i end up either ghosting them or linking up at some point.
