I hope I got someone's attention with my thread title. I was prescribed morphine for pain from a chronic illness and I notice that it's really hard to have an orgasm on the stuff. I guess if it makes your body numb, it can make everything numb. Being female, it's already hard enough to have an orgasm compared to a guy so this is quite frustrating. Is there anything I can do or a medication I can take to help with this?

It could have possibly induced a hormone imbalance thus reducing ability to orgasm. If I am cprefect, and at least in my experience, it is generally harder to achieve orgasm whilst on opiates.

Opioids are linked to negative effects on hormones, in men testosterone levels must be tested monthly by the prescribing physician.

There's quite a bit of information on this topic if you use the forum search engine.

The only thing that helps is taking less than normal or skipping a dose when you know you are going to have sex.

Opioids are well known for decreasing sex drive, and for those that may not notice while on them, they surely notice when they stop taking them. Most people report having wet dreams for the first time ever while in withdrawal, and they also report cumming a lot quicker than usual in the days/months after quitting opioids.

Tricomb- since I will be taking opioids from now until the foreseeable future, should I make sure to get my hormone levels checked? I'm only 20 and take D-Apartic acid and DHEA nearly every to increase testosterone and insulin-like growth factor production as a body building supplement? Sorry about taking the original question out of its own context for the answer.

It is a good idea to get your hormonal levels checked. If you are taking medications with Tylenol or other drugs that are hard on your liver get a LFT liver function test. Also while on opiates or steroids you should get a complete blood count with differential. This let's you know how your blood cells are reacting to the medication. Opiates can decrease your white blood cells. These cells fight infection. It's good to watch these levels.

yeah def makes it tough to finish. gettin it up never a problem, but going for hours and not being able to bust sucks...usually not for the girl tho lol. I would suggest skipping a dose or maybe taking a half dose. when i got on this current MMT program i was having trouble at first but after a few weeks i overcame it just because i think my body got used to it and now im vback to normal. so yeah maybe skip a dose, reduce dose, and eventually see what works for you.

This is normal for everyone, don't worry man.

I'm a female and can still have sex with my girlfriend while on opiates coz well, thank god, I don't need to worry about getting hard. But as for getting off? Once upon a time...

As everyone said yeah it's well known for that. I cannot climax at all on opiates ( i still enjoy sex though) which sucks since am a daily heroin user.... So I always make the most of it the days no dealers are around lol...

Sex on opiates?
What sex?
If I'm blown she can get fucked ;)

Dude she'll beat the shit out of you so bad that the least you'll care about afterwards is to fuck her haha :)

Answer to the OP: Combining 30mg methamphetamine or damphetamine IR will solve the problem. Don't ever go over 40mg/day, or you'll regret it!

yeah on opiates my sex drive/ability was non-existent...it seemed that opiates takes the place of sex and many other natural 'reward pathways'...
i do remember the first few times i went thru withdrawal my sex drive was hyper increased, like i was a sex fiend...

It's definitely do able..orgasm on opiates..but you can't let it get in your head..or you'll never cum.
And morphine is tough..bc it's sooooooo sedating..
oxy or something more stimulating ..and it wouldn't be so hard.
But that doesn't make it impossible.
it's usually against my religion to schedule sex..but early in the morning..or before you dose for the day..
might be the way to go..and make things go a little smoother.

I think adding amphetamines into your daily routine is a horrible idea..
and will end up causing more problems than it's worth. but just my opinion.
Good luck.

^^i agree, when i was addicted to opiates i made the mistake of adding amphetamines into the mix..it sure helped at first but after awhile i felt twice as bad...suffice to say, it backfired on me..

I also guess I'm the weird one. Opiates open my mind up better and I can connect to my parntner mentally during sex. I have really good orgasms when I want too. Girls need mental and physical stimulation to achieve orgasm. Men don't need quite as much.

^ Yeah, I'm not experiencing any decrease in libido due to opioid use, either... and I really, really wish I were, since I have no outlet for it atm. But then, I also get munchies on opioids, and a bunch of other weird things like that. And my doses are low-ish.
