Opioids sex and getting off opioids

so this is more a lifestyle question but, i am now 1 month clean from all drugs and have been experiencing something i never have before....reduced sexual stamina.

before i started using opoids at all i often had the reverse problem. it was sometimes difficult to achieve climax no matter how turned on i was! and we all know what it is like to try to climax on an opiate hahaha.

now i can barely last 5 minutes!

is this a temporary side effect of withdrawal or paws and will it go away on its own, or am i going to have to do something different?

edit: the most recent drug i was on was suboxone, for around a year.
 
How was your sex drive while you were on opiates? Just curious to see if your drive rebounded once you came off the drugs. I'm currently trying to get off heroin and pretty much since I've been addicted to opiates I haven't really had any sex drive. Praying that it comes bag with abstinence from opiates...
 
Ya temporary. When I quit I'd get MASSIVE hard on's every 4 seconds. Like I could fuck a piece of steel. I'd keep jerking off too bt it's be back 10 mins later.

I really didn't have much of a sex drive on opiates, but now I am the exact opposite at nearly 8 weeks clean.
 
Well I have had the unfortinate experience to have quit 3 different opiates and here is my experience.
But one sad thing is you will never ever be able to alst a long as you did on opiates. Thats a given. When I say back to normal I mean before opiates.


Oxycodone took me about 4 weeks before I could actually come close to having a normal sex drive. But it did return and I was able to finally last longer and be somewhat back to normal.

Morphine/heroin took me 5-7 weeks before I really could last long again and have normal sex.

Methadone is the worst by far. Sicne the w/d is just so fucking long. IT took me about 3-4months before things were almost back to normal.


The length of your opiate addiction and size of habbit also have a lot to do with the duration and intensity of this side effect too.
