Is "sex addiction" normal to some extent? I've always felt addicted to sex but I always thought it was normal. I find it comical celebrities like Tiger Woods blame infidelities on an addiction most men have.

i don't think it's an addiction. it's a basic instinct.

like if you're addicted to drugs you might forego food or other essential shit for survival. is anyone doing this for sex?

Sex addiction is a theoretical model that is used to explain Hypersexuality. Although there is no consensus in whether the 'addiction' is real (and not just some bullshit a celebrity uses to try and look better after infidelity). Everyone has their urges and TBPH I don't think some people are suited to monogamy.

Certain drugs can affect sexual inhibitions in some people giving rise to hypersexuality while high.
